    I wouldn't expect them to figure out how to do it through debuffs, but most certainly through buffs...

    Now I do know AST is getting somewhat of a rework, I haven't extensively looked into what it looks like but using the current AST stuff to throw ideas around since it might have a foundation for it...

    First off, remove Astrodyne's RNG. Make the cards appear in a specific order that it always gets it's 3 different signs, and make it's effect partywide rather than just the AST. Possibly to compensate remove the second charge from Draw and ability to use it out of combat, so it doesn't go live until later into the fight.
    And since Redraw would be made pointless, replace it with something. Maybe their Double Cast skill from PvP.

    Completely remove Lade of Crowns, as it just adds an RNG to Minor Arcana and the heal from Lady is pointless. Making it just a second attack that always deals damage would be much better.

    Would make the class have consistency, have things going on while you're spamming Malefic, and be able to actually support the party.

    I think the Modern view on healers is just wrong in general, more so in 14. and I believe in alot of ways its the players at fault for this, but in a way i think the big issue is alot of people talking about healers, dont have place to do so. If you want to dps then you play a dps job there more of those in the game anyways, just healing can be alot of fun for some people, keeping the team alive buffed up is fun honestly in many cases its more fun than a lot of dps jobs/classes in games.

    Problem is: 2% of this game makes that fantasy possible for healer enjoyers, the other 98% you dont even need a healer, what the jobs are being designed for this doesnt just apply to healer jobs either is for PEOPLE WHO DONT WANT TO PLAY THAT JOB FANTASY... period that why so many of the changes to the jobs are so out of touch, they are being designed not for ppl who enjoy the fantasy but to get other people to play the job they dont enjoy its fantasy for.

    I mean Paladin i hate in every game because paladins are my mortal enemys... and thats okay that job will never be for me ever so long as it holds the name paladin and access to holy abilitys i wont touch

    If they wanted to take the path of least resistance to solving this, what they would inevitably do is remove all the AOE heals. ALL of them. Healers would end up spending a lot more time healing because they would have to target every one in the party one after the other.

    I don't want to see that, but you can see part of the problem with healing design is that the players just end up using ONLY the AOE heals and nothing else except in the content before the AOE was available.

    I dont think square enix want to upset warrior mains after buffing the job for 3 expansions in a row

    Honestly wouldn't be opposed to it, if healers got a ton more damage buttons to press.
    White mage could be like a geomancer using earth spells n stuff
    scholar would be dot based, etc.

    Much prefer if the game ahd more healer requirements and healers had to heal more, but this still sounds like a better route than what healers do now lol
