    In my opinion, there's too many abilities fighting for AF already when Emergency/Deployment Tactics are only utilized by Adlo and Succor. Should the Tactics abilities are traited, allowing it to interact with our DoT, we technically added 2 more abilities in our arsenal without increasing the number of actions SCH has, and Energy Drain can evolve to Energy Siphon just fine.

    Edit.. Ruin 2 can also retire to make room for either Miasma 2 or Shadowflare (GCD)

    If you don't like SCHs having Energy Drains, you can block them from joining your PFs.

    It also requires renaming it to Sage.

    For real though, keep energy drain. It's a nice optimization tool for when nothing is happening.

    I didn't have mana issues when they removed energy drain and utilizing your aetherflow was a lot more fun, just like with sage. My problem with energy drain is it's not interesting, theres no choice to be made since healing is so mapped and the biggest of all is that aetherflow has been stuck in the same state since stormblood because of energy drain's existence. Once ED is removed AF can actually be expanded upon again.

    Granted, fairy gauge/aether pact probably needs to be addressed before that ever happens

    I misremembered. They removed Energy Drain at 5.0 patch. Then they put it back in patch 5.05.

    The problem with removing Energy Drain, was that there was nothing to use it on. You just dumped it into Sacred Soil or dumped it into Lustrate if Sacred Soil was on CD. Instead of damage and MP restoration, you just spend Aetherflow on overhealing.

    My point still stands about 4.0 SCH and their MP economy though. These are the thought players had at the time for Stormblood.
