The black make-up around the eyes was more prominent and better in benchmark 1 , and also the pupils were more black, in the current benchmark the pupils look more muddied/blurry.

It looks so much better when the front hair strands cast a shadow.

Posting again with a comparison of my Miqo boy in the current game and the new benchmark. Above current, below 1.1 benchmark.



Eyes: slightly narrower, but I like it, it gives him a more mature expression I think and for how long this game has been going I think it suits the character. He’s been through a lot and no matter what anyone says, he’s been going at this adventure for years. Big upgrade.

Eye color: darker, not as bright and vivid. I don’t like this change at all. His eyes are his defining feature to me. Now they’re closer to the color of his hair but I prefer them being a different shade. Going down to a lighter color makes them stand out again but they’re still not vivid or bright. Huge downgrade.

Irises: look smaller, which is annoying since they’re the large irises meaning a Fantasia will do nothing to fix it. They do add to the mature look, but I still consider this a minor downgrade.

Nose: not as narrow, looks more upturned, the nostrils don’t appear to be at as steep an angle. I think this is probably all a lighting issue, but his nose to me is very unique so it still bugs me to see it changed a little. Mostly neutral on this change.

Lips: the lips themselves are long, making the mouth look longer and not as puckered. (I’ve always described this mouth as the cat mouth, like :3.) The space between the Cupid’s bow is smaller and the lower lip isn’t as full. I LOVE his original mouth, I think it’s extremely cute and has a lot of personality. He’s a silly little cat guy and should have a cute :3 mouth! I realize it’s not the most natural lip shape with how short the upper lip is originally, but like I said it has so much personality. This isn’t just a downgrade to me, it’s devastating.

I’m willing to live with these changes as I’m cynical and don’t expect them to make anymore updates no matter how much detailed feedback we give. I’ll miss my silly little guy baby face and bright blue eyes, but I’m not gonna quit the game over it. He still looks more like himself than he did in the first benchmark.



Edited to add one shade lighter eyes in the benchmark compared to current eyes. As devastating as his mouth shape is to me, the eye color change REALLY bums me out.
