    They did a graphical update, but not to all the zones of game, that complete graphical update will come in the future. They barely changed the job design despite criticism and a lot of the few changes were for the worst, the real job changes will come in the future (8.0). They promised a better combat design but that will also come in the future (7.2).

    What the fuck are they doing for DT release, just adding the msq and calling it a day?

    Yeah, that sounds about right. Cause if I recall EW correctly, we didn't get EXs until a post-patch, didn't get relic until one, didn't get IS, Variant/Criterion, or Deep Dungeon either. It was mostly MSQ and... 2 capstone dungeons right?

    I don't even think we got tribal quests.

    I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.

    Yep.

    Well, it feels like it, tbh. I was under the impression the better combat would come with DT's release. Feels like they under tuned damage again, saw the no-healer dungeon fallout, then suddenly "it's coming in 7.2!"

    6.0 basically had no content outside of the MSQ, it did launch with two extremes but thats really it.

    You didn't see other forms of content until after the savage tier dropped.

    First thing you would need to ask, as a developer, is why instead of assumption. Why do my players want to run this dungeon as fast as possible? Could it be that all the major rewards they want happens when they clear? If so wouldn't that push them into speedrunning my content as fast as possible? Is the rewards that I am giving appropriate to the length of time spent running this content? Is there a reason for players to explore that is worth the time to explore? Is the actual content engaging for multiple runs?

    It's very easy to listen, but a lot harder to understand. It's a game developers job to gather the necessary data and interpolate the meaning behind the data. If a bunch of people say they don't like Fire I and they list multiple reasons (usually feelings), it would be the developers job to find a commonality among those reasons.

    When you have a large group of healers going "There isn't enough damage in content to be challenging enough to enjoy my overabundant healing kit, so when I use my one damage spell over and over it makes content incredibly boring because my damage kit is underwhelming" and then the devs response goes:

    "Well from the data, the higher end content is pushing healers enough but in lower content they are using a lot of the same damaging spells. What we could do is because we want regular content to be accessible we should be able to increase the damage kit so that the healers have more, interesting things to do while also keeping the healer kit to the point it is so that it covers the harder content."

    "Ok, we will give multiple other jobs additional healing and give the healers one extra attack every two minutes, therefore solving nothing"

    That is what I would call listening but not understanding.

    A dungeon being cleared without needing a healer isn't anything new. Of course, healer mains such as myself would hope they would trend in the opposite direction, but it is no surprise that they have not.

    However, this right here is what pisses me off to no end...

    Words cannot express how infuriating this is. To not only double down on the ridiculous self-sustain tanks have, but to further step on the toes of healers by giving DPS jobs additional healing actions that are readily available every 60s is insulting. I am done defending this dev team. They deserve every piece of scrutiny they get. I understand that I am very emotional at the moment, and I don't want to make any brash decisions like canceling my pre-order, or even unsubscribing because this is exactly what I feel like doing right now. Hopefully Yoshi will address this, and I will give him that opportunity. I know the Japanese community has to be every bit as enraged about this s**t as well.

    His response will greatly determine what I will decide to do. Considering that the game still requires forced comps, I will remind the playerbase that it is entirely possible to strike. It is totally possible to level your healers without even touching group content. I know it's a longshot, but players can acquire the ability to fight back if they rally behind a cause. What I know is that if they don't course correct this BS, I just don't think I can continue to financially support a company who makes me feel like they hate the role I love.

    I wonder how much trust NPC support has impact on this zero threat dungeon design.

    If I recall NPC healer struggles to keep NPC tank up if you aggro wall to wall amount of mobs.

    Stop playing healer. That's the only way to counter bad designs. They know which jobs are the least played. If they see that there aren't enough healers they will need to change them.
