Bazaars are for transactions, not -bleep- storage!

frankly i never ever check peoples bazzars personally, if the whole system of checking it was less clicks and wasnt so slow maybe ide actually check people.... the chance to find the "item" your looking for on random people meh ide rather just make that shit myself or buy off the retainer system, i dont have all day to check random ppl in town theres no real place like in ffxi where ppl afk with Good items anyway so many people scattered all over.

besides i have all but 2 classes/jobs at 50 and craft/gather fairly frequently so those extra 10 slots come in very handy and i am paying to play and if i want to use said 10 slots for storage i will.. so what if you check me and get butt hurt because i have everything up at 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 tuff.

when u get multiple people asking for melds as well as doing your own and carrying around all your gear because maybe you want to do something there and then because the game allows me to swap job/class at whim i want to have everything i can to do what i can when i want, the game was designed this was and atm it is this way still. i have 7/7 ifrit 4/7 moogle all my af for every job multiple gears for each job as well all my craft tools and gears plus my gathering gears and baits, plus sb items and mats to make some more as i need to, yeah i could stick some on retainer but when i have full or close to full retainers selling stuff as well and mats on retainers to make more shit to sell or keeping +1 mats for making shineys 500 slots aint always enough ;p.

If I see someone sitting in front of an instance with an /away and a bazaar icon up I'd perhaps bother checking, otherwise nope. Don't really expect to find something I want or need just by randomly checking people on the street, especially since there's no way of telling what items they're selling. Even if everyone was using it as intended, the chance of finding something you might need would be greater than now, yet still abysmal. 10 slots of lame low level gear, 10 slots of mats I don't need, dark matter, random mishmash out of the game's item base. . . . Ugh. Less time and less fuss to just port to the nearest ward. For all I care they can just abolish bazaars all together.

The other thing OP forgets is there's no mail system in game currently. I have stuff in my bazaar for LS mates to trade since I can't SEND THEM ANYTHING! And honestly, your point about correctly using the bazaar falls mostly on def ears especially those of us who have been playing since launch or prior; there wasn't space then there isn't space now. To many useless or unneeded items, to many limits on the process for using those items. Example of this, materia. No one or HARDLY anyone uses the level I-II materia; you go through those levels too fast to make it worth while. If SE came up with a different use or the ability to multi-slot those lower tiered items that would clear up space. Make them worth GC seals or something!
Also, the point brought up earlier about standing in front of areas to sell your wares properly in your bazaar and the 40 PCs viewable onry ... you will miss most people as you run by them ... they won't have populated yet. Especially in front of busier areas.

dude srsly. bazzar is where i hold my arrows and crafting mats so they are not in my inventory.

I also keep my lucky rat tail, and 'Gyshal' Greens in remembrance.

Maybe if i had a Bazzar Comment I would try to sell stuff out of it.

My proposal for win-win-lose (devs lose) is to add 10 extra slots to the player and both retainers. Then make it so any item that you flag for the bazaar remains in your inventory, but can be sold.

Those using the items for bazaar still have their extra space and have no rational incentive to post an item they don't plan to sell.

And everyone gets a little more space until the moon hits the planet to destroy Ul'dah wards.
