That's a legitimate problem, and it's getting fixed. I'm only talking about player bazaars, not retainer bazaars. And lol @ at all the morons who have nothing better to do than post internet meme pics and troll comments.
Why are you so up-in-arms about a feature that is not nearly as useful as it was in ffxi? Bazaaring was nice because it let you sell items without paying an AH tax, gave you extra slots on what was a very limited selling capacity (7 AH slots), and let show the exact price of the item instead of a bidding system.
Now, tell me how that bazaar system is better than using the Ward system. The Ward system has a fair amount of selling slots, barely any taxing, and you see the real price of the items and it doesn't use blind bidding.
Then you have to think about how the bazaar system is limited by the server capabilities. We can only have 40 characters displayed on our screen at a time and most people afk in ul'dah if they leave their game during their off hours. Actually believing your items will sell while bazaaring them is borderline insanity. So again, please tell me how this system is even worth having as a means to distribute items and stimulate the economy.
Because this kind of abuse of the system is PART OF THE REASON why it's not useful. Everyone's using it for storage, thus the odds of seeing a bazaar icon and someone actually having something to sell is very low. That's not how it should be.Why are you so up-in-arms about a feature that is not nearly as useful as it was in ffxi?
It's not. but you can possibly sell more stuff by using your character bazaar (which is what it exists for) than by using your retainers alone. Plus, it can be handy to hang out in a popular destination (e.g. entrance to a raid, etc) selling things people might need, like food/potions/ammo/etc - places you can't put a retainer. Now, tell me how that bazaar system is better than using the Ward system.
I have a couple of crafter jobs , and collect materials for leveling them as i play. i also have equipment for my various jobs at any time on me , and replacement for future rank ups on retainers. then , there's all the +1 crap and inbetween mats. Several stacks of raw material.. tons of food gotten trough quests and drops , that i'll need on a different job. There's also gear that i like to keep with me , just because of looks, rather than practical use. There's also a ton of materia's, that fill up my storage. So, right now i am at 145/150-147/150 and 167/200 , and playing for about 3 hours fills up my inventory up to 200 with crap-loot. Thus , i am forced to use the bazaar sometimes. It also offers me the Possibility to keep several unique tradable Items on me(last time i used it at the egg event), though i vendue them at legal prices , if possible. I might get like 40 extra space, getting rid of all the dated stuff, and pre-mats that have been removed from the recipes, but then it'd get filled up with matieria pretty quickly , because atm , i am forced to throw it away at times.
Well , what i was going to say is this:" If you prepare to be well equipped for playing every job, like everyone expects you to, you will hit the limit pretty fast."

My inventories are always full, even with items for sale in bazaars and on retainers. I have only 4/7 lvl 50 battle classes 2 lvl 43 gathering classes and all my crafting classes are lvl10-30.
So I have 4 sets of AF for my battle classes, 7 ifrit weapons, a moogle weapon, and a couple of dozen other green Unique items for my 3 lower lvl battle classes and loot from AV/CC. On top of that I have a set of gear for my gathering and crafting class. And another weapon for each. Then comes the items i harvest from lvling up those gathering classes, which i store on my retainer for future crafting sessions rather than sell on wards. I have 10 stacks of yew branches on me for ex. 10 stacks of electrum, 10 stacks of Cobalt, a few stacks of mythril, 10 stacks of wilver, a bunch of copper tin etc. 5 staks of alumen (sold at least 10) as well as 5+ stacks each of olives, gridanian walnut, sunlemons, dragon peppers, oak los, wildfowl feathers, latex, dyes, dark matter, catalyst THE LIST GOES ON BRO.
And I haven't even mentioned all the materia i've horded (over 100+) that at least are now stackable, the spaces they opened up were quickly taken up by my logging the hours.
Does that make any sense?
But they just NEED those junk items!
Seriously, we have 500 slots for inventory. There's no reason to put crap in your bazaar to get 10 more. Stop hoarding junk...
I like selling stuff at 999,999,999gil but sadly no one buy it...
I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.
Wow, I never realized you could do this.
An extra free 10 spaces, woohoo. Thanks for bringing this up.
frankly i never ever check peoples bazzars personally, if the whole system of checking it was less clicks and wasnt so slow maybe ide actually check people.... the chance to find the "item" your looking for on random people meh ide rather just make that shit myself or buy off the retainer system, i dont have all day to check random ppl in town theres no real place like in ffxi where ppl afk with Good items anyway so many people scattered all over.
besides i have all but 2 classes/jobs at 50 and craft/gather fairly frequently so those extra 10 slots come in very handy and i am paying to play and if i want to use said 10 slots for storage i will.. so what if you check me and get butt hurt because i have everything up at 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 tuff.
when u get multiple people asking for melds as well as doing your own and carrying around all your gear because maybe you want to do something there and then because the game allows me to swap job/class at whim i want to have everything i can to do what i can when i want, the game was designed this was and atm it is this way still. i have 7/7 ifrit 4/7 moogle all my af for every job multiple gears for each job as well all my craft tools and gears plus my gathering gears and baits, plus sb items and mats to make some more as i need to, yeah i could stick some on retainer but when i have full or close to full retainers selling stuff as well and mats on retainers to make more shit to sell or keeping +1 mats for making shineys 500 slots aint always enough ;p.
may you always check me and find my bazzar full of 10 999999999999999 items![]()
good day to you sir
