We get an ugly angel transformation that’s basically dissipation with no downsides and you wanna say it’s the thematic skill

Seriously while I agree with your core point they have no idea what to do with SCH dissipation is not the problem with this dumpster fire of a class

As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

I never said I liked the look of Seraphism, just that it makes more sense than Dissipation. If people like the skill, that's fine, but it doesn't change the fact that it is counterintuitive to the idea of healing with a pet. Something needs to change. Whether that be the other healers have to take a hit in their respectively similar skills, or Dissipation is given a change. Something as simple as extending the healing increase to the Aetherflow skills is fine. It's used mostly for DPS anyway, why not provide a boost to attacks, something. Scholar has the least amount of offensive skills now, it's sad.

You are right there are more underlining issues. I am just sick of seeing certain skills that clearly have a glaring issue, be left in the game. And regardless of whether people like it or not, it's counterintuitiveness cannot be debated. Why emphasize the faerie more, but have a skill to remove her?

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

Because you pay the fairy to get a buff to spreadlo and completely refill your gauge

No other healer can panic refill their gauge like SCH can with dissipation, it’s a tradeoff, that’s how healing works at its absolute core. The fairy is your tool, you send her away to get emergency healing, it’s a tactical decision, SCH isn’t a fairy mage

Do you really think seraphism (which is as close to dissipation without the fairy we are ever going to get) is actually a well designed skill. The skill is 4 changes and buffs that basically amount to a spreadlo amplifier with zero downsides

I never said Seraphism was good design. How can I, it's new, and no one, besides a lucky few, have even had the chance to use it yet. I just said it fits better with the design of the job.

Also, besides Sage, no other healer has a Guage like SCH. And Sages fills up automatically. And the "trade off" doesn't makes sense. Why do you need to lose 1/3 of your skills to get stacks to use another 1/3, while only boosting 3 spells? Regardless of anything, if the other healers don't have this caveat, the skill is designed poorly.

We don't even have the option to end it early. Other skills of this nature don't completely lock you out of other skills, you just lose access to the granted skill(s) if you use a different one. That's not the case here. And you shouldn't have to "use all the faerie skills" beforehand.

Plus there isn't a reward for using the skill. Three Aetherflow stacks and a 20% increase on spells the "meta" actively encourages people to not use, is hardly rewarding. The skill just needs something to feel better. Give us the option to end the mode early, like when ASTs use their bubble for brief seconds. Or maybe when the faerie returns have her perform a specific action, add a shield, do an attack, maybe both. Even the simple increase to Aetherflow heals would work. Something.

I know I'm not the only person who feels this way. But I seem to be the only one who expresses it on the official forums.
