It's the drop down filter that says "Show All". You can swap it to only show gear for a specific job.I will keep an eye out for this as I havent noticed it either and im a legacy player who only plays off and on so I don't know everything but this game certainly needs a lot of QoL improvements from buying/selling/glamour to inventory management, and nobody should be against systems being put in place to make things abit more informative/easier to use.

https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/14417I don't see any coherent arguments as to why this would be viable at all. I need to know any mmo this is implemented in that's a mainstream one. I don't even think WoW has this at all either.
Also I'm laughing a bit because I realized a small correlation between not being able to pay attention to a simple gear purchase and paying attention during content runs to mechanics.
That is farfetched but amusing to think about.
Why should the devs implement a system for people who couldn't spend a few extra seconds to pay attention? I've made the same mistake and you know what I did? I learned from my mistake. I got the currency back and got the proper piece I needed.
I didn't take to some forum to whine about my mess up. Takes but a moment to read not only the name of the item but read its tooltip where it legit tells you what jobs it's for.I don't see any coherent arguments as to why this would be viable at all. LOL jokes on you mr angry pants I don't do Savage but I love how you compare a buyback feature to carries through hard content... jesus hyperbolic much.. go touch some grass please.
If you've ever hit CTRL+Z in your life, your statement reeks of hypocrisy. Standard UI design in the modern era is for destructive actions to have Undo capabilities. And to your other comment, WoW has had it for years. It's a win-win for the devs in terms of ticket reduction as well. Why should the devs implement a system for people who couldn't spend a few extra seconds to pay attention? I've done it too and farmed the currency again and got the correct item. That doesn't mean it's not a decent QoL that could help people in the future. Why should the devs implement a system for people who couldn't spend a few extra seconds to pay attention? I also do Savage but apparently in your world you can't do that and mess up and buy the wrong thing sometimes.

Today I learned there is this drop down...will have to look for it next time I make a purchase.
Also, being on the job/role you want the gear for will make it easier to not purchase something for a different role, since there is an additional "You can't wear that as your current job, are you sure?" dialogue box.
All I can really say in my defence apart from the Aiming accessories mistake was the fact I had my 2 cats swarming on me looking for attention and not taking no for an answer. So I was a bit distracted and might otherwise have checked myself from making the wrong purchase in the 1st place.
I just thought that I couldn't be the only person who'd had the problem.
