So long it's not bound then some sort of grace period for trading back in would be appreciated. I'm sure we've all wasted some tomes at some point.

i feel like this is part of why the Shire set was the last tome set we got with fanciful names instead of "Of Fending/Maiming/Striking/Scouting/Aiming/Casting/Healing"
+1 to the idea, though, because had a friend accidentally buy for their old class after swapping to a new one for the next tier

LOL yeah the fancy names were fun but it could be difficult to keep them straight.i feel like this is part of why the Shire set was the last tome set we got with fanciful names instead of "Of Fending/Maiming/Striking/Scouting/Aiming/Casting/Healing"

I could see the logic in some sort of time limit so someone doesn't try to hoard gear to then turn in for tomes to get a bunch of some brand new item, like crafting materials.

Its funny because they already have a return system in the game but it just doesnt work on tombstone gear. For a game that touts not having FOMO as a major element they sure do have some annoying systems that make players who care about getting certain things log in and keep their sub going arbitrarily.
It's called "paying attention". They aren't at fault because you could take the extra time to ensure you got the right gear piece.
When I go for any currency gear, I take the time to make sure it's the right piece by knowing the set and double checking the pop-up box that tells you info such as what jobs it's for.
Aaaaaand there it is, there's always at least one person like this that defends bad systems, good job here's a cookie SE still don't care about you. It's called "paying attention". They aren't at fault because you could take the extra time to ensure you got the right gear piece.

OP is asking a QoL featture that would benefit EVERYONE there should not be one person having an issue with this and instead supporting it.

I agree that people should pay attention, but what harm would it be to have a refund system in place? It's called "paying attention". They aren't at fault because you could take the extra time to ensure you got the right gear piece.

Since the game has launched I can't remember a single time where I mis-purchased an item because I DO pay attention. It's certainly possible and within the players' control to avoid this issue. That doesn't mean I have to disagree with a simple QoL change to have items be temporarily refundable.
In my original response, I just gave a solution to help avoid making a wrong purchase, because somehow there are players who haven't noticed that there even IS a job filter on the menu.
I will keep an eye out for this as I havent noticed it either and im a legacy player who only plays off and on so I don't know everything but this game certainly needs a lot of QoL improvements from buying/selling/glamour to inventory management, and nobody should be against systems being put in place to make things abit more informative/easier to use.I agree that people should pay attention, but what harm would it be to have a refund system in place?
