Since the game has launched I can't remember a single time where I mis-purchased an item because I DO pay attention. It's certainly possible and within the players' control to avoid this issue. That doesn't mean I have to disagree with a simple QoL change to have items be temporarily refundable.

In my original response, I just gave a solution to help avoid making a wrong purchase, because somehow there are players who haven't noticed that there even IS a job filter on the menu.
I don't see any coherent arguments as to why this would be viable at all. I need to know any mmo this is implemented in that's a mainstream one. I don't even think WoW has this at all either.

Also I'm laughing a bit because I realized a small correlation between not being able to pay attention to a simple gear purchase and paying attention during content runs to mechanics.

That is farfetched but amusing to think about.
