    Yeah I been having issues with my visa debit and have to buy timecards and wish we didn't have to wait another month for it to be fixed especially since the fix won't be until after the official launch of dawntrail. Luckily I managed to preorder dawntrail and buy a timecard during the payment issue but I been hearing some people couldn't even buy the expansion because of this issue.

    Following our investigation into the inability to use Visa Debit cards after the payment processor switch in April 2024, we are pleased to announce that we will be implementing adjustments which will once again enable Visa Debit as a payment option for customers in North America.
    The adjustments are currently targeted for release in July 2024, and we will provide a more specific date as we move closer to implementation.

    In the meantime, we would like to take this opportunity to remind customers that other payment options are available, such as Crysta (which can be purchased via Amazon Pay or PayPal), Amazon Pay (for online store purchases), or game time codes available from various online retailers, including the Square Enix Store.

    We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused and appreciate your patience as the teams work to test and implement the required adjustments.

Most businesses whats goof arounds like this for this amount of time, go bust unless thems got deep pockets. Is absolutely no excuse for such bad performance in business world!

    Payment processors don't care. They move slower than governments. SE is likely doing all it can to move this quickly but they don't have a choice.

    They probably didn't have a choice in the matter. For everyone saying SE makes money off rmt, it's likely the cause of the payment processor change. Excessive charge backs makes a payment processor drop you and causes issues finding a new one.

    I've tried with Chrome and Opera. This was working in March. I suspect it stopped in April, but I forgot to get Crysta, so I'm just now finding out about this cluster-duck.

    Fun Fact: Can't use MS Edge because the CAPTCHA box doesn't show up. -- No adblockers of script blockers.

    ....I just have to laugh at this point.

    As someone who works on the 'backend' of an eCommerce site.

    I get the feeling they switched to get a better Processing Fee rate.

    Remember, Square just got hit by a 70% drop in profit. Additionally, I'm pretty sure the Processor they had as of March was the same one they've had since I started playing...10-ish years ago. So for the Processor to just up and be like "nope, that last chargeback was the final straw; *boot!*" is very unlikely. Also, large clients are afford way more leeway than a 'ma and pa' store.

    If you can shave off just a quarter of the processing fee that's a substantial boost in 'kept revenue'. -- I think our old Processor was doing like "2.8% plus $0.33" per transaction's total. So for pretty much ever order we'd lose about $3, and we do about 100 orders a day; adds up pretty quickly. Now we get dinged 2.4% and save around $1500 a month compared to the old Processor. ...Though, our new Processor doesn't forbid us from accepting people's money :P

    Square finally let me give them money. PayPal payment for Crysta was a success! Worked using Opera.

    Don't know if it's a permanent fix. So if you got PayPal I HIGHLY recommend stocking up on Crysta and changing your sub payment method to Crysta just in case it breaks again.

    Things I did this time:

    I 'new tabbed' the "Add Crysta" link instead of just going to that page. No clue if having the MogStation page still up made a difference or not. But it's the only thing I did differently this try.

    EDIT: Also, I'd suggest switch to the 'Standard' if you're on 'Entry'. This is because Game Time Cards cannot be applied to 'Entry' type accounts.

    Just wanted to post in here and mention that I couldn't even use my mastercard or paypal to buy crysta just now and got the Error Code: i2501. I made a support ticket and called NA support and while they were friendly they were not helpful. I tried using firefox and chrome to buy crysta via paypal or my mastercard and neither go through. My sub was gonna run in 4 days so I bought a game time card for the first time just to at least give myself that cushion but I forgot I have extra retainers so I might lose access to them until they sort out whatever is going on. Pretty bummed but hoping they implement a solution or something soon :c
