Ironically the only jobs that actually are starting to have any real issues with too many abilities are healers, and guess how their DPS rotation already works.
ive talked to healers about this and i never hear em complain lol alot love the 1-1-1. Also theres plenty you could add the the extra hotbar slots, or Squeenix could add plenty to those extra slots, Again if you dont like the idea as an option, why not just leave it disabled if it gets added? The game has alot of settings that simplify the game. alot of which you may be using. So if simplicity is the problem then why do you use settings that simplify ur gameplay? Again i dont care as much bout the simplicity side of things, i want all my buttons to have meaning if im gonna use alot of them. 1-2-3 combos are just filler for most classes with each one having a slightly different passive. Thats it lol it takes up a hotbar space to simply add a slightly different passive on top of an ability that is exactly like the 2 others in its filler combo. Im not against combo skills. i just dont like wasted opportunity and i feel like having 3 abilitys for 1 combo that all do the same exact concept with a slight variation is just boring lol. it also makes me use more keys than i need to in order to combo it. If ur against that idea because of the simplicity by itself than you also have to be against macros for skillings and dps rotations, and you have to be against action combat targeting, youd have to be against the skill settings that allow you to autoplace a ranged aoe from just hovering an area and letting go of ur key, you would also be against legacy camera mode that significantly makes gameplay easier and its not even a subjective things, its just a preference really. You cant always be against QoL improvements and if you are then you cant be selective on which QoL ur against if they are all optional. Again alot of QoL settings arent even meta for high end raiding. Its strictly preference.
