As consumers we should not trade a job identity rework for no new jobs next expansion. I suggest we stop feeling sorry for multi billion dollar companies who could "hire" interns to do a lot of these things (in terms of QA) and adding a few more professional QA and game designers.
I know for sure a "job rework" expansion won't really sell an expansion for me. Fixing what you broke is basic competence, it's not a new feature of a new product. I dare say 3 years is more than enough to rework most/all jobs to some degree. If they need ideas, instead of idling for 3 years, they could do surveys for each job.
Less idling square enix, more doing. You guys used to do polls and take feedback from forum when ffxiv 1.0 was a dumpster fire.

I think that five expansions in ten years is very optimistic.
The 'ten years' was an interview reference to ideas that Yoshi-p wanted to try and accomplish before turning 60. He mentioned Dawntrail and two other expansion ideas that he has, at least one of which will be the sequel to this new storyline. So you're probably looking at four as yet undeclared standard jobs in that time period, at most.
Going based off of the pattern we've been following since Stormblood, my guess is that the next sets will be Physical Ranged and Tank (similar to Shadowbringers), followed by Melee and Healer (similar to Endwalker). My prediction is that the next tank will be a hammer tank, both based off of demand and for practical considerations around splitting up the WAR playerbase.
It's hard to predict what the other jobs will be. I'd like to see them implement a Merchant job that draws on ideas from Bravely Default/Octopath Traveler at some point, if it's possible to do so. I'd also like to see them design a job around the Ivalician Unyielding Blade/TG Cid for the Striking category, especially if we ever get back to Ilsabard to explore Corvos. Outside of that, there are lots of options that they can draw on for weapon types and job concepts.

I don't think the game will last for another 10 years without some really big updates in graphics and replacing the outdated game engine.

I mean realistically long as the servers are running this game prolly wont ever die, folks will continue to play well beyond the end of development. That being said in the distant future we could very well see the next generation of FF mmos or maybe some other SE property.

Nah,
6Tanks, 6Healers, 6Melee, 6Ranged, 6Casters.
2Tanks, 2 Healers, 0Melee, 3Ranged, 2Casters.
9 empty slots/spots in DT Job Actions.
The End.
Unless big streamers will suddenly play other tanks you can forget about that.I think that five expansions in ten years is very optimistic.

2 expansion in a row without support? I doubt it

yes plz. i want them to just remake every job in 8.0. dont want another 2 years of shb rotations with a finisher for your finisher after your cdUnpopular opinion here, but I think they should stop adding new jobs completely. Another job with 120s burst window and 123 combo alongside 50 points gauge spender does not excite me at all.
Instead, I want them to give unique identities to each job, create and maintain engaging gameplay even in synched content, and revamping outdated content such as Guildhest, Hall of Novice…etc

I'm putting this here, because I don't see myself creating a topic just for this: but do you think it's possible to have new crafting jobs (enchanter, for example)? Even if there's a small chance, would you be tempted?
