RNG sucks!!

Common crafting materials didn't have a 1% drop rate in EverQuest, only rare magic items from rare spawns. Common items were either all over the place in EQ or you could buy them from vendors directly.

Instead of forcing players to choose between three boring options, the better solution would be for CBU3 to undo the poor decision they made to triple the leather recipe requirements in Heavensward, and go back to the ARR system of 1 hide = 1 leather. Suddenly it doesn't matter as much if you only get a hide drop every few kills.

This thank you absolutely this, these people saying why dont you just do this are stupid and ignorant that not everyone lives in the game and are apologists to a bad system!!

I mean yeah, it’s bad but it’s STILL faster to farm FATES, use a retainer, or buy off the mb than to farm individual mobs. Personally I use retainers or just buy them, I’m not wasting my time killing things. I got stuff to do!

Why’re you in such a hurry anyway? Genuinely curious why you need that many skins quickly.

I'm leveling my crafter jobs through collections and getting white scripts for the mastery recipe books, I also dont play all the time so when I set a goal i get it done as fast as I can as i dont want to spend an entire month doing 1 chore.

Yeah I don't like the combat in this game, its too sluggish, prefer WoW's combat, but I sure do love crafting and gathering, apart from hides/monster parts and skins :/
