I've never played Scholar, so I'm going to offer an outside perspective of what the job looks like to non-SCH players.

I saw Scholar divided into its:
- Attacking characteristics (Plague Doctor DoT gameplay, before it became a 1 button job)
- Defensive characteristics (Academic/Researcher/University Student that has studied up on what it fights to effectively counter it using shields - due to the book, the graduation-style hat, and the eyeglasses that feature in most SCH artwork).

I had no idea it was supposed to be a military tactician.

Maybe I'm expecting more of a military commander aesthetic from the outfits as opposed to an Academic/Researcher/University Student... although, having googled some of them now, I can see some of them at least have some medals pinned to their chests/lapels. I might also just be ignorant of how military commanders are presented in other cultures (the hat strongly reminds me of graduating students in a ceremony...)

The angel transformation in the Dawntrail trailer being formed out of two fairies definitely doesn't communicate any "military tactician" vibes to me.
So I'm a bit confused on what Scholar is supposed to be.
