But we didn't see any evidence of this model. Unless the JP community has completely opposite feedback.I think this is an unfortunate consequence of tying "major" job changes to expansions, and the long development cycles for expansions.

Like, what problems was EW job design fixing from Stormblood?
I actually also unfortunately remember this extremely well, because I was watching the livestream with my friends and multiple of them would joke like, "Wow Reverie I can't believe Yoshida went out of his way to crush your dreams specifically," LOL. I believe it was the PLL for EW's combat changes actually, not the media tour proper. Basically the equivalent to what we just got--I just can't remember the number, I'm sorry. He mentions it around the beginning of the LL though, from what I recall.
we will definitly not leave the leveling system in 8.0 it will be lvl 110 or 60.
i say 60 because WoW did the lvl squish and so the chances are we will too.
i will also say the idea of doing any form of progress outside of lvling is outside of SE's comfort zone for this game, and honestly goes against the 10 years the game has gone on. now i will say maybe they will, we definitly wont know til half way through dawntrail just this seems like a drastic change on top of the drastic change people want which is a overhaul of the job system which if both of these things are done wrong at the same time will kill the game and i feel that's a risk that SE won't take. but again that's just my thoughts on it.
"→ 7.0 will be level 100, but I don't know what to do after 100, and the next level cap of 110 feels somewhat half-heartedwe will definitly not leave the leveling system in 8.0 it will be lvl 110 or 60.

→ I need to think about it soon."

Sage has failed to live up to the fantasy of a sci-fi DPS healer. Please change this for 8.0. Make Sage fast, exciting, and aggressive. It should feel like a healer that plays like a DPS. Empower the aspects of Sage's unique healing mechanics: Kardia and Eukrasia to give its healing playstyle more identity.
i am not sure what you have given me here. it feels its the same situation as them thinking about job identity and someone jumping to conclusion that its going to be some big change when all it says it i have to think about it."→ 7.0 will be level 100, but I don't know what to do after 100, and the next level cap of 110 feels somewhat half-hearted

Right, but the point is that level 110 would just be "half-hearted" or "half-assed" as it was otherwise translated by Japanese speakers on twitter. And I can't imagine a level squish would feel any less half-assed if he feels going passed level 110 would be.
I mean, it's really not something that matters to argue, but I just don't think assuming it's going to be as shallow as just more levels or squishing levels is the right approach.

It probably is though; it just may simply be this is what the larger majority of player feedback is asking for; all player and language demographics included.
Sure i know i'm one of those people that would love to see some of my old monk skills and functions come back, but a vocal minority of players on the forums are not even close to the actual majority of those who give feedback across every region: NA, EU, JP -that's a lot of people, with a lot of varying degrees of playstyles.

I think it was on a media tour, I think, that he commented on this on the Reaper panel, but I couldn't find it unfortunately.I actually also unfortunately remember this extremely well, because I was watching the livestream with my friends and multiple of them would joke like, "Wow Reverie I can't believe Yoshida went out of his way to crush your dreams specifically," LOL. But I think he says something similar in this video here: https://youtu.be/WSGdMv72ghI 1:16:40

sorry for my bad english

Yoshi-P did mention briefly about wanting to delete classes and rework jobs. That's probably happening in 8.0. If that's their plan, it explains the little changes they made moving from 6.0 to 7.0.
We're most likely only getting one new job (Physical ranged?), or no new jobs. Maybe expand on limited jobs (Level cap and content to do with them).

It would explain why EW was so full of content basically being let out of the gate straight to death like all of Criterion.I think this is an unfortunate consequence of tying "major" job changes to expansions, and the long development cycles for expansions.
