To be fair you should never be pulling enemies with gap closers. I'm actually happy with this change and finally they removed dps from them. Took them long enough, been asking for this for years.

And we didn't get anything new to fill the gap in our dps rotation.
What was so difficult about planning your gap closers?

All tanks can be played by lobotomites already. It's not hard.

I will be as clear as possible when I saw the change I was like: Okay thats a shame I liked plunge but the new skill is cool and it make sense that a gap close should not be offensive just movement

But I thought it was that for EVERY TANK but when I learn that WAR and PLD keep theirs because they lack OGCDs is just contradictory

So a gap close is a movement but a OGCD for WAR and PLD? That mean these two will still spam it whenever it’s ready leaving them on CD when they need it the most? What this change fix in the end?

And before some of you say: oh you are just salty because they keep their damage but your main dosen’t

You are wrong , I play PLD too and they would have benefits a movement like DRK and GNB to dash toward party member and place themselves for Passage of Arms quickly

If they both missing OGCD just give them new buttons to press. if gap close should be just movement give every tank a movement button

That’s why this change make no sense the changes are not equal and make it incoherent

It makes more sense when you consider that they did it to reduce the amount of oGCD's to press in our burst on DRK and GNB. Especially to make it easier to weave defensives in.

I agree that we could get more ogcd's to press to replace it, but I'm not too hopeful on that front unless they've modified mp costs. (and we won't know that until after media tour...I doubt they did regardless given their track record with DRK)

To be quite honest, we don't need it across the board because WAR and PLD really didn't have the issues with weaving defensives while bursting like DRK and GNB did. I'm okay if they keep their offensive closers because potencies can just be adjusted to make up the difference for the ones that are just movement.

Though, I'm not entirely against having both (e.g Plunge and movement), I just don't find it necessary.

Yeah I guess so But they already made Delurium and Blood weapon into one abilities that all e reduce a lot of what DRK need to during their burst and I thought that the huge amount of OGCD DRK had was to replace their lack of a second combo

For defensive window I don’t know I will take for example Golbez (Normal) fight when he do is tank buster in the short time before his attack I can put TBN, Oblation, Shadowwall and dark mind call it an overkill for a Tankbuster but honestly for this fight Golbez barely have the time to auto attack the window is short for DRK but its a challenge that I thought was the fun of it what would help for DRK is that TBN is placed as as soon as you press it because rn when you press it that take like 1 sec to really be on you and if you have a lag spike it can really f you up

Maybe the new delirium combo will compensate for what DRK lost because DRK OGCD spam was what make it fun for me I am really really not optimistic but we haven’t seen new traits and all detail yet anyway I already pre order DT so I will try it out but so far from what we know and what I have seen it’s a big no

Not quite tbh, in fights like P3S Phoinix it made sense to do so because the spawn location of the boss is ideal for the first 3-4 mechanics before getting to Dark Flame. Similarly for optimisation, DSR p2 you pulled with a dash to be in position to immediately drop the dash charges by one so you get another cast before Thordan jumps away (especially if you had.other 30s cds).

Damage.on dashes or not, there absolutely is reason to open with a dash.
