I think Se doesn't want to deal with that.

I don't disagree with what you've said. Quick Chat could be better, they used to ask for recommendations to improve it on the forums. It wouldn't be as big of an issue if the Quick Chat options in current PvP weren't so damn bad.
Imagine if they actually put some effort to them to bring them up on par with the ping systems of modern games, but nope they loop the few same sound effects for multiple things and have no visual indicators at all.
How hard would it be to just add those tracking aoe arrows from raids to people to show towards your own spawn point for few seconds when someone uses "Fall back and regroup" for example? How hard would it be to flash your MP % above your head in MP color when you use that for like 2 seconds?
They should just put hard stop to spam with built in cooldowns to the chat messages and make the quick chat actually useful if they aren't going to release the chat channel as is.
Also as side note, why are FC and other channels muted while in CC matches? It's super lazy from them to not just block the party chat but doing it to all channels.
The other chats are blocked to prevent collusion iirc that was the reason they gave us. So you couldn't coordinate with the opposing side via Free company chat and tells.
It doesn't really solve the issue its meant to solve though, and makes pvp a really lonely experience.

The point wasn't the look of the photo lol, which btw is from GW2 I believe.
The point is the content and that it's people complaining and being toxic to each other about not playing well when given the opportunity to have open communication compared to the limited one we have now in CC.
I pretty much live in Frontlines when I play this game and chat usually consists of one of two things:
1. Someone spamming a macro for calls and pissing people off
2. The team playing poorly/not listening to calls and pissing people off
I would not be shocked if we have limited CC chat because of that, like the poster you quoted off of said. I can't count how many times I've been in Frontlines and had a chorus of like 4+ people yell "Reported" when people start arguing in there. If true, I can't blame SE for not wanting to wade through that much report spam if it's regularly occurring in pvp lol. I feel for you that you want to use it for good reasons but a lot of people won't and I'm glad Square is focusing on that.

It’s GW2.
Anyway, some things never change and the garbage people spew in that screenshot remains pretty current. I’ve rarely seen non toxic pvp chat when playing with randoms and when instructions are posted, they are for the most part ignored. No chat is not a big loss.
I dont understand why a chat couldnt exist with a mute button. They want a competitive mode but coddle everyone out of a proper way to communicate.
Yes, it was a ranked match in Guild wars2. The dude was on my team. Although l lost because of him, but it was funny to watch. The point wasn't the look of the photo lol, which btw is from GW2 I believe.

I have been because of a low parse.
Been kicked for asking 4 players to not AFK in a duty and was roasted up until vote went off.
Got called "one of the most toxic players Ive ever met" for typing "clem?" to a Paladin.
PvE players aren't really saints themselves in this game.
The current system already *is* toxic though.Sure, if ya'll want Frontline's shout chat in CC, by all means. You'll just be providing the "nice job" spammers actual room to throw insults around while still being ignored by your team anyway lol.
------
I'm sure this won't lead anywhere toxic and everyone will be kind and productive.

I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen someone use "push the crystal" during a match or "nice job" after a win. But after a loss? Spam of both for days, sometimes from more than one teammate. In fact, I don't think I've *ever* seen anyone use the quick chat for anything helpful or productive, at least not in casual Crystaline Conflict on Aether (maybe it's different on other data centers, or at least the non-dead ones where PVP actually pops). And it's not like the jerks spamming quick chat are any more immune from blacklisting as the jerks shouting during Frontlines/Rival Wings either when it comes to dealing with both, so I at least want a proper chat for *my* benefit and those who would use it properly because the toxic folks are going to be treated the same way regardless of how they're acting it out.
A proper chat wouldn't add anything more negative than what's already there basically, and quick chat probably even encourages some poor behavior because someone can be a snot with a press of a hotkey instead of having to stop and type out whatever variation of "you suck" they're thinking about.
agreed. its absolutely ridiculous to punish everyone for the actions of a group of people years agoThe current system already *is* toxic though.
