It's about time Yoshi P steps down from FF14.

I've been saying this since SB. He was very very good at rebooting the game, but many of the decisions made since then have been confusing. He is trying to sell himself to us as a fellow gamer, but the longer things go the more apparent it is he is just another suit with some fancy rings. Between all the things that come out half baked and are never fixed or completely abandoned, ignoring both minor and major issues players have been asking about for years, to the way classes and combat are handled, and whether you like it or not, there are real issues with the direction the story went.

We need someone with fresh eyes and a new perspective who are not stuck in such a completely resolute mindset that they just cannot see or accept when something is done poorly. Nothing is going to be perfect and not everything is going to be great or even good. But you need to learn from that and move on instead of doubling down and repeating the same mistakes over and over again.

Counterpoint, I hope Yoshi P stays with the game for as long as he wants, he has passion for it and i'd rather a person with that mentality leads it than someone who just focuses on one group and snatches the games spirit out.

if ff14 was left in the hands of this forum or redditors(or a person with that mentality) it would become a numbers simulator, full of tryhards and probably die off within a year,

What the man has pulled off is truly something, and sure, it takes time for him and the team to handle things but they do get around to it, the game exist in a state where someone who just wants to enjoy a solid story can have fun while at the other end overly serious raiders can have some cake too, thats frikkin hard to pull off, if they werent doing a solid job it wouldve died, look around at how many games fail to see my point.

shoot, i dislike blu mages, i think the idea of a limited job is dumb BUT, once i see beyond myself i do get the point of what they are for, no one in the cap'n seat will make everyone playing this game happy no matter so i'll just stick with the guy who's made it last this long while dealing with the scourge of gamers.
