I'd say that the thematic skeleton of the job is pretty much perfect now. The issue is that there just isn't enough meat on that skeleton yet, which they absolutely could (and should) address in 10 more levels.

Yeah they all said the same thing when they reworked MCH. *wheeze*

It was a weirdly prevalent hyped up consensus during 5.X, because "omg its rotation is 2 MINUTES long!!!!"

I suppose technically there were distinct but simple phases spread through a longer period of time. Which is still true, actually, going to show how bad a metric that is for complexity.

Don't get me wrong, it was a decently demanding caster unlike now.

Oh, I'm not saying it was simplistic job either, but the logic behind calling it the most complex job ever was some weird meme-y thing.
