    SMN will not be fixed in 7.0, because there is no fix for a complete gut of the job.

    I'm more worried about what the SMN 6.0 slaughter will mean for other reworks. If they're willing to take the most complex job and make it brain dead, there's a pretty clear goal for the game. Look at healers and their 1 spam.

    I completely agree with your feeling on the matter, but old SMN, most complex job? Really?

    It was a weirdly prevalent hyped up consensus during 5.X, because "omg its rotation is 2 MINUTES long!!!!"

    I suppose technically there were distinct but simple phases spread through a longer period of time. Which is still true, actually, going to show how bad a metric that is for complexity.

    It was not complex but it was not braindead as EW SMN. Even ARR SMN was more complex than EW SMN.. That's how utterly bad the rework was.

    If anyone here's interested, current pets follow a 3-second "train" that leaves after 1 second. It means that for every real time second divisible by 3, you have a 1 second window of queueing pet abilities so the pet will execute it one after the other within that 3 second window.. One caveat though is that if you mash the pet abilities without a 300-500ms gap in between those weaves, depending on ping, the latter ability will have to wait for the next window.. Think of 2 passengers trying to fit in the train door and cause a fight. it got resolved by making the latter take the next train.

    From what I recall SMN had the largest rotation, even if BLM had a higher skillcap. It also doesn't impact the thrust of what I'm saying at all. If SMN was the 2nd or 3rd most complex, the devs still took something richer and flattened it into cardboard.
