SEA players and resident of US/EU, how are you paying subs right now after the change

I haven't touched that button yet, I'm waiting to see if it works without it. Thing is, I don't have a credit card, that's just not a very common thing to have where I live. Most people use their debit cards for buying things in everyday life. There has been a recent change in the banking system that should make me able to use my debit card for online services and stuff, but considering FFXIV players are reporting issues with payment services that should be available, I'm not sure it will work out...? It's good to know "Register/Update" becomes available after unregistering the current method though, thanks for the info!

Apparently @NanaWiloh's fervor in posting on Japanese forums with translated Japanese made SE react.

Quite curious how it took one person to do this and took SE one day to answer, yet the issue has been persisting for a good week with no answer.

i can understand there is an error in payment method, but i can't understand why account address that make from about 20 years ago need to match with new card, while this game pretty much worldwide in 2024, worse is you can do nothing to change your account address if you don't live in US

The issue affects many people, not just SEA. I mentioned some examples in another thread.

Since it's addressed, albeit in Japanese, it means they will act on it.

worse thing is only people that paying sub or has few day left from their sub before new payment bite them in the ass can enter this forum, try to search on twitter, reddit and facebook, there is nothing

So the same day the issue crops up for JP, they get a notice, and get it fixed, but for us it's been over a week with nothing. While I'm not being affected by this, are they even aware of this issue?

Yeah not sure what they did to Visa debits but hubby tried to buy something on Mogstation last night and we're in US and it wouldn't take the bank Visa debit card we've used for years. He was able to get it to go through using Steam Wallet which is just bizarre.

It was disabled for me as well, only Unregister was active.

So I unregistered my credit card. Register/Update then became active and I was able to re-enter my credit card information without a problem.

Worth a try if you haven't tried doing that already.
