About the free Fantasia that was promised

In 2.0 we "got" a Fantasia for free as well. It was already used before logging in. We were able to change the appearence before the first cutscene.

Since at the start of the expansion many people will log in, it is best to repeat that to decrease the amount of logging ins.

I'm hoping we get a Fantasia and some free skips as well. Skips I don't think they've talked about but that's an awful lot of main story to slog through if you're new.

Was amazing having all the skips when creating a character on the Cloud server.

As already mentioned, for ARR's release, 1.0 characters were automatically offered a character change (and name change), without any need to receive and use a fantasia in game. I still have an old character in this state. Why not do this? If this hasn't been made technically infeasible for obscure reasons, that would the most optimal.

Receiving a mail is also possible, but that seems more cumbersome than needed. If I create a new character, I get around two dozens of mails, including three fantasia phials... However, that would mean sending a mail to every character at the same time.

I don't trust the Mogmail system to deliver this item at the same time, or even the same day, for every existing character. There are long delays whenever a new store item is released, and those are optional items only few people buy.

I just want to assume that they most likely will give out a free fantasia because they have mentioned it, but also because they know people are really attached to their characters. I mean that's a big reason on why they are remaking the char stuff on the benchmark, for people to see their chars because so many people did not like how their character ended up looking. They probably would deliver the fantasia through mogmail like with every other reward, or maybe just plop it in our inventories.

That would only work out for the people who are already in DT. The point of the fantasia is not to reward DT users but to resolve any unwanted side effects of the graphical update for all existing characters. It needs to be delivered via a method that does not care about story progress.

well, unless it fixes the issue with my teeth in the new updates... its pointless.. like my nubs of fangs.

if it is sent to us, likely be to anyone subscribed on launch via mogmail, unless they get the WoL to wander about handing them out.

I think during the day long downtime, they could work it into the system

I hope they really give the free fantasia because a lot of characters look completly different from before, changes this without give the option to change you character is really scummy.
