This discourse appears crafted to pressure players dissatisfied with the current PvP system into partaking solely for the lure of rewards, aimed at improving queue times for a set group of elite PvP enthusiasts. However, these individuals then use their rewards to disparage those who made earnest attempts but fell short due to skill gaps. Rather than nurturing healthy competition, it fosters toxicity.
This idea is fundamentally flawed on multiple levels. To begin with, there are currently no exclusive rewards available, and instances of alleged cheating have tarnished the integrity of past world races. Moreover, it primarily benefits a subset of highly skilled players who can afford to prioritize gaming over real-life responsibilities. It's often the same select groups dominating the world races, resulting in rewards being disproportionately distributed among them. Many of these players already enjoy significant publicity as influencers, further exacerbating the issue. To the extent that they frequently face accusations of receiving information directly from Square Enix.
