Why not? I'd love a tattoo toggle or the additional dialogue legacy-only characters get, that'd be great, but fact is I didn't even know FFXIV existed for 1.0 and now the only chance I'll ever get to their ultra special treatment is watching youtube clips because they had the 'honor' of paying a subscription.

I'm 1000% all for maximum equality, you want some of the PVP gear? Go play PVP and earn your crystals and buy the armor you want, why not? What possible reason is there to lock players, especially new players who didn't have the opportunity to compete, from the content ENTIRELY so a handful of people can feel extra special? Hell why bother with the current system? Just lock that armor behind Feast like the old days, surely it's a better system with no flaws, right? If Feast was so good why isn't all PVP locked to Feast tiers? You don't get to play PVP if there's no Feast so people who won Feast can be special, it just makes sense, right?

I'm so sick of people that want their literal fancy pants to remain eternally fancy and untouchable for 99% of the playerbase, I have the stupid Cait Sith doll for getting in on the ARR early access and I could care less if someone else wants to buy one, let players be able to earn/get whatever it is they want in the game, locking it is stupid and antiquated.

Yeah, i absolutely Do. If EVERYTHING unobtainable becomes available and earnable in Game, including Legacy Mounts and the Tattoo, i got no issue. If only SOME things become available again, i would be one of the first in the Forum War that would "1000%" occur.

Yeah sure just let me pull up my comprehensive excel document listing all the sales from all the win-traders and who they sold to, should be real easy... oh wait, no, the simple fact is that it happened and it was pervasive enough that actual PVP players who did Feast were complaining about it near daily. It's like arguing that 'not all raiders' use plugins when most top raiders in the community actively acknowledge that pretty much everyone these days uses them, so much so that it has a portion of the playerbase that WANTS the plugins to be actively incorporated into the game itself.

Also your solution to an alternative for the currently implemented and widely popular solution to PVP rewards is... to look at Overwatch? The failed game? The one dying right now? Yeah that sounds great.

"Dying" is exaggerated, because competitive reward structure was not what caused the issues for this game. It was Bobby Kotick's vile monetization scheme and how he basically forced things on the OW team, which led to the downfall of PVE, because there was no pleasing this man other than exorbitant amounts of money for the least amount of content given. The game is currently in a healing stage and as much as people will forever miss the PVE that was promised, they are 100% giving their all to improve the core game, the PvP.

Just because a game has aspects that caused it to have a downfall does not mean that the ENTIRE game has zero things to draw from. The competitive currency system is legit and I'd like to discuss this not by talking down the game's past but by the present of this particular system. Not the cash shop, not the missing PVE, not the 5v5 vs 6v6 debate - just the competitive currency system.

Sorry but I really dislike your take on this, all I read is "mom said it's my turn with the controller now" and completely and utterly disregarding what some players had to go through to obtain what they had.

He apologized and added a 'Replica' suffix to the White Ravens that weren't from fighting Nael because players who got them legit with Legacy were very vocal and very upset that other people got to wear their special earrings.

You know, I've encountered numerous 1.0 players who've expressed openness to the idea of the Legacy Tattoo being accessible to others. It's worth noting that Legacy players are also rewarded with reduced subscription costs compared to those of every other player at 2.0 and beyond, yet that's not something anyone is asking for.

Your stance reinforces why I firmly believe that reintroducing new top 100 rewards into the game should remain out of consideration indefinitely.
