It doesn't matter whether there were some misconceptions or not.In a dungeon setting bloodwhetting is broken....but I also want to argue this. If you DIE in a dungeon with a healer....you have bigger problems then having a broken skill.
Bloodwhetting in a extreme/savage setting is VERY underpowered with only a single boss to attack. It's pretty close to PLD blade combo it terms of heal potency.
I have to look at it where the skills matter...and how the skills are designed. Jobs are designed around extreme/savage/ultimate. Not dungeons.
So if your in a dungeon and a WAR pops bloodwhetting....it's broken as all hell. Honestly they could just do a AOE diminishing returns to it and it would still be broken. WAR is just so damn smooth at AOE tanking as it just ruins large packs.
I have tanked with WAR for nearly the whole expansion...and switched to PLD from P10S onwards. I can say this. PLD was TERRIBLE to play before the rework. WAR was hands down so much better to play then PLD prior to the rework. PLD is smooth as hell to play and everything just lines up perfectly. WAR is in the same boat with skills lining up...it's just slower is all. And that is is the point in my opinion. They still feel different to play, and have different playstyles. For those that think the tanks homogenized and feel the same. I would ask you to play P10S or P12S as a WAR....then change to PLD. It's crazy disjointed and you have to play so much more differently. The basics are the same, but you still have to plan ahead and use the jobs strengths.
That's part of the fun though. I love being able to change to w/e tank I want to, and figuring out what each can get away with. Surprise, surprise...each tank can respectively get away with more or less then the other.
Streamers gonna complain because that's how they get clicks and views. But when you boil it right down to what it really is....Tanks are so damn balanced and I don't know what they could do to improve anymore.
The ability is still grossly overpowered for how readily available it is.
