I wasn't even trying to pick one from each role, but it just ended up like that anyway. I would have had WHM on there instead of BRD, but any duty below 76 just feels awful when the only consistent AoE heal is medica ii. If they move all the lily spells to pre-50 or just after 50, then WHM is back in my top 5.

My dream design for Pictomancer would have a type of quasi-mudra mechanic where you pick a color, and then a shape, and then maybe a different type of ink (or something else entirely) to create different paintings/spells. Something where the primary gameplay mechanic is like NIN mudra or Invoker from Dota 2. That would be killer. That's probably not the case, but if it were, that would also put it in my top 5. I tend to favor casters in a lot of RPGs, so I'm eager to see what they've come up with for Pictomancer.
I indeed do enjoy the resource management of red mage- gives me slight more choice variety on damage.
I never played ninja so if it is like that I'll definitely want to see how I like it. I would definitely enjoy seeing the different combos of color and shapes and how it builds up. There would some room for error (that is if you are trying to draw something specific), but art is flexible so I can see how color and shape combos eventually add up into many choices. Optimization would likely be much more difficult (or easy if it is just about memorization).

I’m can’t wait.
Ohh yeah. Maybe they start like in art classes- primaries and secondaries then it evolves into more between and subtle shades. I can see it evolving into picking your preferred palette to work with. Though, there is definitely enough room to have the whole rainbow. Do you think it might work with mixing colors too?
Also thinking of with this angle, maybe certain materials are in play too. Different kinds of paints have different properties. Maybe considering the paint type is part of it too
