Sounds like a neat plan! What are your top five favorite jobs?
We can only hope it isn't too bad!
A giant death laser from red mage would be funny- though that seems more like a sage thing. I have yet to get red mage to 90. I look forward to seeing what that job looks like at the current max level
me too! Especially if it removes the gray filter that the game loads in. One time, I was in a namazu cutscene and I thought everything looked so colorful. Moments later a gray filter climbed up the screen! It was night and day
I was disappointed when I found out too- I'm with Brynne on this one. G'raha has to be my favorite character ^^
The story is absolutely a sticking point for me. I definitely look forward to it. I do wonder what older expansions will look like with the the graphics update
Yeah the glasses and hat combo is something I was surprised to learn was impossible when I first joined ffxiv. I'm sure the updated gear will dye just fine- I can hope they test it out to see how it looks. You are right to be wary though- there is uncertainty. I haven't dyed much gear yet because unless I see glam potential in it my character will eventually outgrow it and it'll be desynthesis'd for sellable mats and armory chest space so I don't quite know what gear dyes well and what gear doesn't.
I remember trying to get my dream team for the squadron. Alas, ran out of motivation because the rng hurts. Do you have your dream team?
OOh another blue mage! Do you have every blu spell yet? What content do you wanna do with the blu update?
The Roe is a very strong contender indeed- lots of open ocean to travel to until she reaches her destination. How well will she take being land-locked for a while?
Seems you have been having it rough! Sorry you haven't had the best experience with the game! Is there anything you enjoy about the game?
As for your points:
-I think the zones are quite pretty- they offer different kinds of beauty. Though, imo, HW has some of the prettiest zones. Sea of Clouds is one of my favorites.
-Did you know ever since SB there has been jump puzzles in each city? While it isn't long-term content it does offer some challenge. I think utility can also come down to if a city offers mats for crafters (sometimes exclusive mats). I think that while a lot of cities won't be well-populated as Limsa, I tend to revisit them from time to time. In my experience, Bulmung is the primary one that is in the QS- in other worlds it is usually limsa or the highest level city that has the most players (with a good bit in Kugane)
-A lotta green items make great desynths and sometimes glams
-I've seen videos of people with over 100 players on the screen if not more. My current computer would probably explode if there were that many people. I think the player limit in one area is primarily down to hardware and internet connection. I might be mistaken on this though so do correct me! I am wondering what you mean by not being able to use mounts. Do you mean in city states or something else? Can you elaborate?
-Crafting, fishing, housing decoration (houses, apartments, and/or FC rooms), PoTD/deep dungeons, and blue mage make great content if you ever want something to do! Custom deliveries, while not taking up much time, also offer a little bit of something extra (one even gives you a mount!). I've been watching this youtuber chase as many achievements as he possibly can. Sometimes the completionist route is the most rewarding (and painful- but who doesn't love some pain?) imo. As for ARs, I find it varies which ones I get. Surprisingly, I'm not queued for Crystal Tower very often (even then it can be fun when put in a room full of sprouts. I have seen Cerberus pick off players one after another until everyone is dead). Usually it's HW, SB, or ShB ARs (I have yet to unlock EW ARs).
