They put flowers on its head. Its a lady now obviously.lmaoooo
24 (twenty-four!) dollar moon mount in the cash shop and people are like, "it's fine because you can get so much nice stuff in game" and then in game it's like:
they didn't even pick a good mount to recolor. christ, it's ugly as sin and sneezes on people. how is it even related to the theme of either event? what about that thing screams "little lady" or "hatching tide"?? It has leaves on its head and eats anything smaller than it that moves.
Two events in one..., and the reward is only an ugly (sorry to all the Gobbue lovers) recoloured Gobbue. It has nothing to do with Little Lady's day, and it has nothing to do with Easter. ^^"
That's frustrating, to be honest. Events get more and more boring and skippable.
Moogle event has also nothing new. And we get 'something returns' events that have nothing new for all the loyal long term players.
My only solution is..., to unsub as much as I can, just holding my small house, because I really love the plot. :/
If DT won't bring a change, I guess I really think about quitting in the next years. But I really hope it's getting better.
By the way I also didn't buy the new cash shop mount. I like it but...., honestly, why should I still buy mounts for a game that gives me almost nothing new to play it?
And additionally almost no situations in which I could USE mounts? :')
This is the biggest cap I seen. People won't quit over some 20 minute event they will do and move on from quicker then bullet hunt trains.Despite appearances, this is not a free-to-play game. Whining is the safest alternative to everyone cancelling their subs and turning this company bankrupt. You want Square Enix to be acquired and Yoshi-P laid off like they did at Blizzard? I don't think you support FFXIV half as much as the people who are raising complaints about it.
There's just no need to whine over these events. Especially when this game is super full of stuff to do. Also people quit this game all the time and more come in. So not sure ya reasoning.
There's aspects I'm not happy with but I'm still here. We also know the devs don't really pay attention to anything outside of the Japanese players.
Like they didn't even know we had a issue where aether was considered the main content DC like eu has theirs. They only assumed it was a jp issue.
Like last time I seen them acknowledge anything was when the jp playerbase who play samurai took to the forums and laid into them.
You did not read the thread. This is about more than the event, it's about the past three years and it's clear that the company is not doing well. You can read their quarterly reports.
You contradicted yourself. The term you're looking for is "churn", or player turnover, which is what happens when a subscription service cannot sustain its members. This is considered a bad thing. If your game was "super full of stuff to do", it would not have a high churn rate. Defending churn is a classic drought-era copy and paste while the facts speak for themselves.Especially when this game is super full of stuff to do. Also people quit this game all the time and more come in.
2/3 of FFXIV players are outside of Japan. If you are correct, then that is a major problem and a likely reason for the company failing, as per above. We also know the devs don't really pay attention to anything outside of the Japanese players.
You probably already agree with me, but you don't want to see your game fail. No one does, but we're not the ones who run this business. Ultimately, Square Enix has the right to make a failed product. It is just disappointing that they choose to do so.
im sorry is the game free?...no, WE ARE CUSTOMERS, we can complain and "whine" all we want, this isn't quality content and we are within our rights to complain.
why is WoW living rent free inside your heads?
I love the gooby but they shouldn't combine events like this. And why does a double event only give one reward item?
I mean, they already combined EW's MSQ with this expansions 3-trials and Hildebrand with relics. I guess we should expect them not to do it with "lesser" content like season events. (╥﹏╥)
It's a bit hard to hide my disappointment, but I'm not sure what to expect right now. Maybe it's because of the FF16 event coming up soon, idk. I know they've merged events in the past, but I wish we could've at least gotten something a little bit more with the mount. Maybe more than just one event item could've made it nicer, that isn't just a recolour. I'm not sure. I still want to assume it might have something to do with the FF16 event, whenever that is.
the XVI event is in April. They don't really like simultaneous events happening. Like I said earlier, it's a combination of things - Easter being particularly early this year combined with a static date event of LLD, rolling into the XVI event in April, coupled with preparations for DT. Like planning the PAX trips, the 14 hour broadcast, prepping for the media tour, polishing technical/graphical updates up to the last minute, making the benchmark, making the job actions trailer, etc, etc, etc. There's only so much time in the work week to get this all done.
And people have the audacity to say that devs are lazy when they don't stop to think about how much work actually goes into these things.
