None of the content in XIV thats not Savage or Higher requires your full kit, and syncing the content properly within the roulette systems would at least make us use more. I've been saying it since Shadowbringers, if Sastasha is the easiest least engaging dungeon, then the current expert dungeon(s) should be the hardest/most engaging dungeon.

Also look at Endsinger, it feels good to do, because it's sync'd well to us. All content under Savage should be sync'd better.

Level Sync is FFXIV's shittiest feature.

Dude it's not 20% of your time. Try this: Finish a dungeon -> record the time until the next time you actually need to hit a single mob -> if you reach the next dungeon (around 5 to 7 hours :^)) without having hit a single mob you win!

It happened to me where I noticed I didn't have carbuncle out when reaching the next dungeon and didn't notice because outside of duties .. there's generally only one "black" shiny/aoe that trigger mobs per msq segment and that's it.

    I dont get it...
Why can't we just keep all our abilites when down-scaled(lvl sync'ed)? [scale abilites based on lvl]
Also we should learn job core abilties/features WAY ealier.

Level sync is okay, its the best solution for top end characters doing lower tier content without taking away the experience of lower players. I wish other mmo's had this feature. FFxiv systems are top tier. Especially their job classes.

Op is saying why can't it be leveled sync with all our abilities gained while leveling. Taking away fun stuff. Unfortunately for the op I don't think they will ever introduce a level sync that includes all of your abilities. However the trade off is making the experience better for low level players, we were all their at some point.

Any way I think that's what the op means.

The issue is that some abilities are impossible to "scale down." You can't "scale down" things like Benediction (instant 100% heal), invuln abilities, and the like. You can't "scale down" having a larger variety of different types of healing spells when people at the "appropriate" level for the dungeon don't even have those abilities. The concern is creating an environment where newer players would be put down or shunned because they won't be able to clear the content as quickly, so the solution is that everyone gets the same set of abilities. In exchange for working with the simpler toolkit, higher level players doing the content on roulette get a reward of either a significantly higher chunk of xp or endgame tomestones.

I do agree, though, that at the very least every class should have their standard AoE ability by the same level (looks at DRG in particular).

Then dont. The synced content is already a joke so they may as well give the players the power fantasy of seeing how a lv70-80 skill works in sastasha, if anything it would make players better as they could interact with their toolkit much more often than they do now and all the new tools they get from leveling would feel all the more impactful.

Which is quite the stupid concern imo considering that half the playerbase barely know/use their tools at max level anyway and they still arent kicked.

Considering they have made XIV into a solo game, the TOS mention abuse of vote kick and how quickly everything gets done I highly doubt that scenario would happen. They could even keep the rewards there if they are so worried so everyone does not only get better gameplay but also incentives to play with newbies.

    Morale high road?

These are your words, are they not?

Hope you like 4 abilities, kid."

If you can't understand how this comes off as self-entitled and condescending, then you are the last person to be telling me about bad behavior and self-awareness and attempt to instruct me on the concept of morality.
