Op straight up discriminating against people with mental disorders and this thread wasn't removed? If someone has any type of phobia it's part of an anxiety disorder. This is exactly the same as saying bipolar people are not allowed, or people with any mental or physical condition. A person with a phobia or any other disorder didn't choose to have this disorder and you have no right to discriminate against people for their illness.can you show me any expamples of that in this thread?straight up discriminating against people with mental disorders

They're calling transphobia mental disorder by anxiety disorder. Which, sure, might be the root cause for someone, hard to deny that. On individual level these are not always probably so simple issues.
Though I'd muse that while there is probably-definitely link between anxiety about things leading to bullying and discrimination, sometimes, on individual level, in most cases disordered anxiety is probably not the main culprit. Just normal ass anxiety. You know, how not everyone who has narsissistic traits has narcissistic personality disorder, because that's literally everyone having a pinch a that, because it's part of human experience like that.

Can you cite this with a quote tweet. Obv if this did happen I'm very much not OK with it y'know (Little edit here, i missunderstood and thought the comment said discriminating on people with mental disorders)They're calling transphobia mental disorder by anxiety disorder. There is no tweet to cite, it's all contained to this thread if that is how one chooses to interpret words.

Refers to this part of the OPOp straight up discriminating against people with mental disorders
TRANSPHOBES NOT WELCOME. THIS IS A TOPIC ABOUT BAD VOICE ACTING.
Goodness that's a bit of a reach to say that I'm discriminating against transphobes... First it's transphobic to criticize a voice actor, and now it's discrimination to not want transphobes in here??? I'm so confused...
On a purely technical level you are discriminating against transphobes if you're telling them they're not welcome, and it's not something I would lose any sleep over. There are groups that are perfectly fine to discriminate against in that way, including homo- or transphobes as well as racists.
Whether that is discriminating against people with mental disorders is armchair psychology I'm not going to entertain, if those people have legitimate mental issues they should seek help.
On the topic of the voice acting: As someone who doesn't usually use the english localization my only exposure to the english voice is the comparision video linked in this thread and the voice sounds okay to me. It comes across different from the other languages but it's adequate to my "untrained" ear and by far not the first time the english localization shakes things up when compared to the other languages.

Edited to add this reply, I don't want to derail the thread further by posting it as a seperate reply. This isn't the place for that discussion:
But that's the very same thing I'm against, now it's just the other end of the spectrum doing it. What gives you the idea that's any different?
Just because an equally harmful ideology is using it as a front doesn't mean it's wrong to take a stand against, y'know, harmful ideologies. This line of thinking you've espoused is why it's become popular to virtue signal and do public takedowns, by the way. If it's ok to discriminate against people you deem hateful, then you just have to find an excuse to deem them hateful, and then you may excuse all of your behavior towards them.
I've seen where those ideologies lead and the world is already moving in that same direction. Again.
If the world at large now chooses to tolerate those ideologies out of a fear of being called out by lunatics warping the definition of a word until it loses all meaning we're doomed to repeat history. I'd rather not.
I'm old enough to retain what is nowadays exceedingly uncommon sense and will exercise it.
Think what you will, I for one will continue to take a stand against harmful ideologies no matter what end of the spectrum breeds them. Cancel culture as a whole is just as bad. It's a real, honest to gosh horrible way to think.
Just because some day someone might twist the meaning of a word to fit their agenda my position isn't wrong. When they do it's up to us to tell them they're wrong and fools for trying to do so.
Too much tolerance can become just as much of a posion as too little of it.
I can harbor no tolerance for bigots and will continue to tell them they are not welcome.
Let us just agree to disagree.

I think they're basing their statement on understanding transphobia as a medical phobia? Like for example Arachnophobia or Ailurophobia. So they either don't get the concept of what transphobia/transphobe is, or they're making a "joke?" statement. Either way it's a headscratcher. I didn't understand their logic till Astrus pointed it out.

2024 in a nutshell
"Wow you're disgusting you're a fatphobe !!!"
"I dont tolerate fatphobes."
"wow so you're anti fatphobes ???? thats disgusting"
like actually for real 2024 in a nutshell lmao
then again the person who said that is the same person that created a 30+ pages thread because they are bothered by venue ads and keep insulting people that disagree with them and calling them trolls so it aint a surprise

That is, until the definition gets altered so that the bar for being considered one is so low it's in hell, so much so that anyone could be considered one for looking the wrong way at someone.

When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore
