RP shout ads are obstructive to chat and gameplay

As much as I dislike it too, it's not hurting anyone nor obstructing gameplay. Just ignore it and let people enjoy things - be it in their roleplaying.
As someone who AFKs in towns a lot, I don't mind it and I am used to it.
If I want peace and quiet, I'd hang in my house or somewhere quiet like Sharlayan.

If it wasn't causing disruption and annoying players, this thread wouldn't exist. It is a problem and has been a problem for a long time. Just because it doesn't bother you doesn't mean that there isn't a large number of people who do find it bothersome , to say the least. Nobody is stopping rp people from rping, nobody is stopping them from enjoying what they like. Giving them a better way to advertise without causing disruption while keeping shout chat free of spam is Infact beneficial to them, and everyone else

And tbh, the shout chat that isn't RP/FC shout ads isn't usually anything other than banter or hornyposting in Crystal.

If you think this thread contains every single player in the world who has an opinion on the matter you're sorely mistaken. Sadly, a lot of people don't come to the forum because of how poorly people behave in here. Go pop around servers across na, and ask in novice how people feel about shout spam and i guarantee you'll find a lot of people who say it's annoying

I never said that lmao. And I legit live in Crystal where RP/FC ads are the norm, no one gives a single fuck because we can usually just yknow, ignore it. It's text like anything else.

This is you confirming that shout spam exists in a data center that I play on, thanks for telling me what I already know. I'm glad you're not bothered by it, but many are. Thanks for the confirmation!
But im not so sure that simply ignoring obstructive behavior is in any way a solution to the problem, especially since the shout spam is completely unnecessary as venues are easily able to attract a large number of guests by simply making a listing in the party finder, under the "other tab" , and that fact is demonstrated daily by venues across NA, if not the entire world.
