    The game needs to be harder. I will repeat this until the day I quit, or they actually make it harder, which it aint gonna happen. ugh.

    But FYI, on tank I will solo the whole boss if I have to if my party wipes until the games makes it so I can't, because I shouldn't have to kill myself due to others mistakes, and frankly they should be held accountable for their mistakes. I'm going to play to the best of my abilities and if yall can't clear with me, so be it. I'll clear for the 4 of us.

    A new debuff when the tank(s) are the last alive called Desperate, or something, might be fun. Only applies in group content, any solo sync does not apply this.

    Significantly increases damage (player buff), damage received from auto attacks (player debuff), and reduces self heals (player debuff). Every 5 seconds the buff stacks, increasing all elements of the buff (damage increase slightly, but auto attack damage and healing potency debuff growing at a faster rate). So if you have a boss at like 5% health, that isn't an ultimate lol, your tank might save you some trouble and finish it. If you have a boss at 80% health, the tank is going to die. The tank can right click the debuff to seppuku (additional feature, as sometimes the tanks would like to die quickly but actually cannot due to whatever mechanic is going on that doesn't hurt much).

    Tank(s) because this happens in alliance content too.

    No, make the content better and harder hitting, don't nerf the player. This is like, hey we cant make content good so we're gonna make you suck. Last time jobs were getting selected out of savage in Tier 2 they buffed the others instead of nerfing the strong ones. So buff the content.

    I agree with you on the first part, 100%.

    Second part, no. If the whole party dies, unless I know I can clear the boss in 2min max, I'm resetting. Fighting a boss while everyone else is dead on the ground watching, for 5+ minutes, is literally the most boring af thing I can do. I'd rather wipe and go back in with everyone.

    Yeah I'm not. They will sit there for 5 mins. Killing yourself is your prerogative and that's fine if you so choose. The same way I've been in this situation and people have been cheering on me while I down it from 40% and they are happy we got it I've also had people be mildly annoyed. So its a perspective thing. To me, it drives the point I will not play worse to reward those that don't pay attention, and by the same token it encourages others to be more attentive in a duty because they know they will have to wait until I finish it if they are not careful.

    Do not reward bad behavior. If you die of natural causes, so be it, but don't play worse because others do.

    What people (like you) want is unlikely to effectively happen, imo. They're never going to make it so people regularly fail easily, because that is not what the majority want (confident on this) and is what is required to achieve what you (vaguely) want. You can get that on your new savage or ultimates but you're never going to effectively get that in normal / msq content without a radical redesign of everything and a decent chance to shift the audience window.

    Yeah, and this is why this situation arose, where content is so dumbed down and jobs are so OP they can solo bosses. Except for DPS, but I'm pretty sure u can solo bosses as a WHM too if you just regen and benison + aquaveil a tank buster. The only reason you don't see this happen is because they have raise, so they don't have to.

    But I've been in plenty of situations as a healer where the tank D/Cs and we don't even bother replacing them, we just double pull and I keep whatever DPS gets the aggro alive during the bosses. Pretty much the design is so that a healer and tank can render each other irrelevant. And because of this stalemate, this is the way things will keep being until they make the content harder.

    You're not gonna get a situation where the jobs will be worse than a previous expansion. That would effectively make the players feel weaker and they'll never hear the end of those complaints. And if anything they keep making them stronger and more self sustaining.

    After a while, solo hitting the boss (for me) is just boring. But, yea, that's fair. If it was a third wipe, I'd probably carry on.

    Not saying there isn't an appeal to a harder game, or that it can't even be tweaked a bit harder without losing any audience (I'm sure that is possible), just that we're extremely unlikely (imo) to ever get to the point where regularly content is consistently actually aptly described as 'difficult'. Especially if they don't try to address core pillars. Like when they first release an expansion you do get a bit of a challenge, new gear isn't over synced, stuff hasn't been nerfed, but over time of mechanics and feedback, mixed in with new tools that they have to give to make players feel growth, you get back to where we are. Like clockwork.

    They'll have to make substantial and potentially risky changes, and I just think that is far less likely then giving tanks a seppuku debuff lol. That said I just want to clarify I understand your position / desire. I'm probably less inclined to have it as hard as you might want it, because I still want to be able to 'know' if I queue for content that I /will/ complete it (and when things are challenging in a group setting it means I have to rely on Mr. IceMage and One Button Tom to get me through the content- it's not going to happen lol), but I still understand your angle.

    The easiest change is just drop the ilvl sync. They don't need to redesign fights. They don't need to change anything else. Just pull the ilvl sync back 15-20. 30+ in some cases.
