    We can still carry around a Phoenix Down if we want, but in a duty we're just all going to restart with everyone alive, or outside of a duty we probably have a free AST, free SGE or free RDM unlocked to rez with at minimum. Tbh that was probably why it was removed, it was as useless as Phoenix Downs are outside of deep dungeons.

    I miss old Raw Intuition making enemies crit you from behind. it was stupid, but dumb silly stuff like that is what makes a game fun.

    Oh yeah. I do miss abilities like that which had some kind of "negative" effect. Gave them a bit more flavor. One that comes to mind is Darkside being a stance which drained your MP. It wasn't particularly hard to maintain your MP, but it added a bit of a layer of flavor to DRK.

    Same. Everytime I see zone lines in this game it makes me sick. Like in that dungeon in shadowbringers called Donh Meg; I'm here thinking they were going to let us run on water all the way to the castle, but no, the themepark ride ended and dropped me inside the castle as if we have the attention span of 5 year olds. Same issue in FFXVI and XIII; they think we're all the fornite crowd.

    The zone lines still existed in 1.0, even if invisible. You'd have people pop out of thin air as soon as they crossed them. It may have been seamless map wise, but it wasn't on the back end.

    I don't think most people mind 'ghosting in.' It already happens all the time just idling in limsa. I just prefer areas being connected visually like in Elden ring. Let me do an epic run through Ishgard gates myself like we do in the HW intro.

    Not just that. There were a number of skills that had downsides to them that they eventually decided to make risk free because for, the non gamers claiming to be casuals, figuring out when they should actually use them was too hard.


    Also... How about back when doing mechanics was actually important outside of EX/Savage. :P

    If Cleric Stance was brought back as things are now, it'd just be a DPS loss for healers... As it being on would be default state, then to heal you turn it off, cast an OGCD heal and then turn back on and continue spamming Glare (or job based equivalent).

    Blank Shot. For all of the people misusing it thinking it was part of the regular rotation, I still loved it for punting that one annoying caster mob in a dungeon back into the pack to burn everything down faster. (Or pitch people off ledges in PVP.)
