(If you still dislike the idea that some folk are gonna farm popular games, and find it disgusting. You're letting it get to you abit too much. Besides, the game isn't designed to keep you tied up 24/7 as other games. Hopefully DT has the amount of content to keep us Decently Satisfied.)

Let em do as he does, the game will speak for itself.

And we don't need to clarify how his chat attacks or false flags itself. He will eventually spot it. (Besides, if he ever does fall for it again, it'll be on him for believing it. Which will be funny for just a couple of seconds before we move on to other things worth the time.)

In the end, too many good games to play, can you honestly just keep people down to one game?
or expect them not to go as the chat, or your itches tell you to.

He's no different, none here are either.

Drama incoming. Don't really care about streamers/influencers, but it doesn't change the fact that they're magnets for drama.

That's a joke right? There's going to be regulars on this game following him around being obnoxious, and there's going to be people that follow him regularly who will pick up the game because he does. His followers that jump into the game will most likely be problematic too.

Like he's not going to bringing in a small army of people or greatly increase the game's population, and he's welcome to do whatever he wants as long as he behaves, but there will most definitely be drama of some sort. It'll be unfortunate to see it occur.

It just doesn't help people to focus on it, better to let it blow up on themselves if they try to do broad brushstrokes. and those who don't follow or look to cause chaos or partake in the "festivities" shouldn't look into at all.

But those that get triggered by him just existing, or the fact that we small section of forum users can't truly do much or affect much. Needs to just not focus too much on it.

What is of true issue, is people trying to sugarcoat or Bubble them in safety.

He was by far the biggest FF14 streamer. AFAIR he doubled the FF14 viewer count on twitch. It is what it is.

Probably in the minority here, but I liked his streams. Watching him run through old synced content with randoms who happened to join up was enjoyable. I don't even usually watch streams, but I was sick at the time and it was something relaxing I could do in bed. Eventually I found myself looking forward to them. So I hope he does come back. It was also fun seeing lots of renewed interest in the game during that period. Granted, the streamers were obviously just in it for the dosh, but they brought with them a lot of new players so that was nice imo.

Frankly, I don't understand the drama/fearmongering at all. "Some of the new people are from WoW!" homie who cares. You know Yoshida initially told his devteam to study WoW (among other mmos) for inspiration when they had to rebuild, right? This boogeyman schtick is ridiculous; some of the people playing this game are hella fragile and need to touch grass.

Based on what? I don't normally watch him but I caught some his XIV streams at the time and he seemed to enjoy himself.

Beyond zone congestion the only "problems" I remember anyone causing were for him by following him and swarming him with mounts, not the player base at large.
