Thank you. I'm expecting it just to be a break.I'm very sorry to hear that you've quit playing. I hadn't seen that. I do agree that I get the most enjoyment when people are trying. I expect players at various levels in this mode (i.e. some players are very new to pvP), that doesn't bother me at all. It's apathy that that is really the worst.
I kinda hate how S nodes spawn so frequently in the late game, I get SE design philosophy has always been to cuck the winning team as much as possible, from heavy medals (increased dmg taken) in feast to light medals (decreased dmg taken) for the underdog. To Rival Wings giving the enemy team more Brute Justices if they lose towers. To older frontlines where killing BattleHigh netted a lot more points than a normal player, so it quickly snowballed back.
But damn...maybe just let the better PvP team win and don't forcespawn so many S in the late game? Makes the start and midgame kinda meaningless. The S nodes are giving too many points already imo. Too often, there is not enough time to even get there - maybe making the nodes/flags on Onsal captureable 5-10s later would be nice to improve PvP scenarios. Especially S ranks should take more time to be interactable with, after appearing on the map on Onsal.

Frontlines will never change because they don't care about our opinions on PvP. Protest. Go to JP servers, create a character, and infest every. single. one. of their front line matches with premades. Teams full of nothing but scholars. Teams loaded with dark knights. Suck the fun out of front lines on the JP servers, and maybe then they'll consider blessing us with changes.

Frontline Kinda Sucks
...
Just let everyone now when you're about to begin :-DHonestly THIS is not a bad idea.. unfortunately i usually play alone but maybe someone will do it
I want on board!
Maybe this an unpopular opinion, but personally I think Frontlines is at it's best when there is minimal organization, or at best organic cooperation. It's just big, stupid, sloppy fun. Open a map and see where people are going. No pressure to play certain jobs or perform well, just play a different job every match and do your best. The battles tend to be more of a struggle and, in my opinion, more interesting. When I'm 100% bored of the game I know I can still play frontlines and get some enjoyment out of it.
It's a mode that is primarily supplied by people who are doing the daily for XP or tomestones, filled with people who aren't hardcore PvPers. But there are always people who are trying to make it into something more and that's where it just falls flat. I don't mind playing against the current meta that is the DRK train (whether it's premades or just a conductor). Usually they are pretty easy to spot, and if they are particularly coordinated I can switch to a job like NIN that makes escape from the draw-in fairly trivial. If anything I feel bad for the people who get suckered into those because they are probably 95% casuals who barely play who are going to have a horrible time.
The worst is when I see it a premade on my team I internally groan because I know it's going to be a boring match. It's either follow the conductor around with an AoE heavy job or get stuck in small engagement limbo doing caps on the side. And trains are absolutely the most boring thing ever. I don't know how people do it all night for hours on end, playing the same job all night just face-rolling everything with little challenge without getting bored. Maybe they are farming achievements, maybe they can't have a good time unless they have 25+ kills. Who knows.
So usually I just play during off hours, otherwise if I play during peak I just feel annoyed the whole night. Anyway I doubt many agree with my sentiment since everyone is just there to farm something and will take a win no matter how the get it. So it is what it is.
I think honestly BH has to go.. the usual premade (or even just a DRK+something else with good BH) can decimate a party EVEN if they have guard up, and dont we talk about bind, heavy and whatnot.. just read my signature

today all i see are premades working together to bully the third team(seal rock seize)
my team had the points advantage and the enemy team comes in drk pull/war grip and everyone else using their stunlocks and steals it from us(from players dying of course)
is this their twisted version of fun i wonder
im also questioning the fact that their so called queue sync isnt disabled/broken yet
i see the same people in shatter nvm ALL frontline maps

Just posting again to say that i used a character i created on Zeromus (Another Garten Rei) to go and check the "Japan situation". I can say that there too the combo "Drk+ast" is used, even with countdown macro on chat.. they are even better organized than ppl on my data center (Chaos-EU).. Unfortunately i cant read japanese, so i dont know if this "combo" is a problem for them... guess i'll have to go to jap forum and use google translate...
I came from Guild Wars 2, which has World vs World which is basically Frontline, but on a much larger scale. The whole stacking jobs thing happens there too, and I suspect all games with similar PvP formats suffer from the same problem. I don't think that problem will ever be solved; SE could nerf DRK, AST, and DRG, but then people would find something else to stack. It happens in GW2 all the time. Whenever a job or set of jobs falls out of favor, the meta shifts toward another handful of jobs.
But Frontline does indeed suck at times. Premade groups in this smaller format are annoying to deal with, and the amount of Crowd Control kind of saps the fun out of it. There's something infuriating about being rooted/stunned in place for like 30 seconds straight, unable to act (or react). Players have been screaming from the roof tops for years that Crowd Control is annoying, but Game Devs never listen. On its own, CC is fine, but when it becomes spammable/stackable, it can be infuriating. On the whole though, I rather enjoy the chaos; these kinds of PvP modes are my favorites, ignoring the aforementioned problems, ofc.
