Moon should be turned into instance housing for everyone. Wasn't that what it was created for.

Only if they can figure out how to do it with the Escher-esque geometry in Smileton.
Have fun explaining THAT to a new player who teleports to the FC house but hasn't caught up to it in the MSQ yet.
TBH we've really seen 4 options I can recall in game that could work as instanced housing from a lore/fluff point of view. One is Smileton.
We also have Sea of Clouds with it's countless small floating islands.
Ruby Sea with it's small glass domes.
And Airships considering the size of the one they used in the Ivalice raid story.

The thing I really like about airships, is that they could practically receive many backdrops easily. Like Kugane airship in the distance, you could park your airship in practically any zone- and so if you wanted to have a certain environment then.. you do you and SE only has to continue making cool zones in order to provide that.
Heck, if it was the next 'life' content, where like the island has great outdoor control (for items) the airship had great indoor, and you could plop your airship in your island... then you practically have complete, if not superior, housing- in terms of decorating at least.
I'm always down for more Housing zones! I fully agree with the Sea of Clouds though, I feel like that would be a super fun area.
But all in all, I still wish there was a bit more going on with the Moon. That giant crater isn't just ominous, but feels like it kills the vibe of the whole zone. Having a single, lush green tree (or even something crystalline) would be really cool. But at the very least, I'd just like to see the "evil crater" gone.
Really hope not. This is one of the things I hated most in WoW, assuming you are talking about a system like theirs where you talk to a NPC to see the "old version" of the map.
