I can't even believe this is what passes for an event to some people. You just talk to some NPCs and get a minion you're honestly not gonna use, like let's be real here.
Can you guys just bring back moogle tomestones or the yokai watch event or something that actually pushes people to queue for content or play the game together, please.

I agree with this tbh, I feel like events in FFXIV aside from the moogle events are a gigantic letdown, it's basically "complete 1 quest, collect reward" and that's it, it's a bit depressing

Heavensturn does normally have the mochi making fate. They also said in the blog the fortunes from last year are coming back. I do wonder what role Seiryu has to play as he is a snake that somehow gets confused for a dragon.

Anything to bring back life to FATEs lv70+ tbh.
At least I can enjoy levelling my dusty Blue Mage instead of power levelling against 10 levels higher

I know its not a big brainer thing for WoW veterans but I thought it was still cool how you actually can get presents under a Christmas tree in the game alongside having multitud of various quests to engage in the holiday.

I hate how FFXIV has such barebone one note and be done with holiday quests. Wish they put a bit more effort into making the event feel engaging

Personally I found most of WoW's events to be grindy chores that wore out their welcome long before any of the low drop rate items actually dropped (and that's without counting the achievements, especially the meta-achievement for clearing all of them over the course of a year). I'm fine with a quick couple of quests and then going back to my day. But to each their own.

I’m sure we’ll get a Moogle tome event eventually, since there’s a long wait between 6.55 and Dawntrail. Would be nice if they changed up the list of duties for that though. I was trying to clear my Eden raids on an alt this week and the wait times were insane!

I like how ESO does events. You do a daily quest, get special event only currency and coffers, that you can spend on event specific items, and then go about your day.

This one off quest really is not ideal and usually boring.

Unfortunately, due to how the game locks you out of zones behind the MSQ, it will always be limited to ARR.

I take a different tack on these holiday events.

I simply enjoy the event and am grateful for whatever they choose to give us. Sometimes it is something I like and sometimes not but it is kind of them to do the event and give us anything. I am not about to complain about kindness.

No. Nope, no, no no.

event tickets? HELL NO. That kills all enjoyment of the event for me. I like ESO, but I refuse to play the events because of it. All of their events are just an excuse to push their monetization on the player even more than they already do.

The event page for this is so miserable and empty lmao Sure they rotate reward types throughout the years events but just that EMPTY page with a sad jpeg of a [duplicate] minion is like proper desolate
