Alright. Let's say I run it, I have fun getting my first completion. What is that content (of which, is stated to be savage level if not harder) going to give me for the time investment for repeat runs? A mount you can just buy and materia?

I'm not going to waste my time learning savage level encounters for nothing of value (to me, since that apparently needs clarification on this site) upon completion on repeat runs. I have much better things in other games I could be doing with that time that actually gets me somewhere.

Eureka gave me incentive to go back and still does to this day, Bozja gave me incentive to go back and still does to this day. EX trials maintain their value for people back and farm for mounts or mats regardless of their expansion. Savage raids give people incentive because it gives you gear (of which, you basically need for criterion anyway from what I've heard), and maintiain their value in later expansions as glamour farms and even mount farms in final fights of the tier. Criterion does not on repeat runs (except for the mount, which, again, you can just buy which makes it meaningless). It isn't worth my time investment.
