I work with the "business buzzwords" in my IRL job, so it was easy for me to read, but sadly, the break down is only showing subscriptions and not any optional items. The report is focused on games, rather then DLC.Yeah I double checked their latest earnings report but it’s filled with a lot of business buzzword crap and I couldnt find a breakdown of cash shop income.
But if it follows the trend of similar titles (there’s no reason to think it does t) and the difference is substantial between subs and cash shop
"I have a type, white-haired anime men who will eventually betray me."
Damn my condolences to your sanity
The only business buzzwords I like is giving the middle finger to shareholders who invest w/o knowing the product (which is a damn lot and why the stereotype exists)
A friend of mine is a "don't ask me what I spent on the optional items" person, while also being like "I can tell a mile away they are using mods, because they are wearing that EXACT shirt" person.
Using add-on/plugins/mods /= not buying from the optional item store.

I only read the OP in this thread. And my first thought was, "I wonder what percentage of the playerbase is actually doing ultimates?"
14's community: We want more challenging encounters!
We get them!
14's community: Lets use add ons for them so we basically don't have to think about it at all so everyone else thinks we're good at this game![]()
Two days ago, I played against a player in mahjong. They used few bots and their character to boost own mahjong rating.
They literally got rating form 1500 to 2000 in a single day.
I played for a very very long time to get that Mahjong Master title and this person just got it in a single day by playing against bot characters.
This person didn't even seem to understand the basic rules of the game and got the master title.
Achievements lost their whole value because of people like that. Since people started using addons I see mahjong masters everywhere despite that queues are almost dead and no one plays.
Makes me think that most people with rare achievements are probably using bots or addons.
Achievements aren't achievements anymore. They're not only worthless, but also if you have a lot of them people just gonna think that you use bots/addons to get them.
Addons literally are killing this game right now. They grant people some fun for a short period, but also they kill all the content quickly. Without them, people would have to work a lot harder to get anything.
Even visual add-ons are like that. People change their looks and make gear to look whatever they want. They have fun with it for a time, but they lose all interest in trying to get glamour in the game by playing. Glamour was a massive reason to do stuff in the game in the past, now people just add-on.
I have played many MMORPGs and most of them died because of cheaters. It feels bad to see the same thing happening to FFXIV now.
Addon abusers in this community will tell you "it doesn't effect you, you know you earned the achievement legitimately so why does it bother you if others want to get the title their own way? you should do things for your own enjoyment not to impress others. if you like glamours too, then you should enjoy getting them without addons."Two days ago, I played against a player in mahjong. It's pretty sad how extreme the cheating problem is in this game and how normalized it has become. I really hope we see an anti-cheat and lots of bans soon.
Good luck with that lmao, also add-ons are not a big bad wolf they are literally in every mmo to some extent.
If you don't like if, play a solo game.
