I just wanna know why Hulk Hogan is on the moon.
Maybe it's the only place big enough to contain his ego?

Other option, being a fairly large endeavor, is that they add proper sharding / instancing. Which could potentially be used for houses as well later. This is something WoW uses so you can have substantial differences, including pathing. Does create other interesting concerns, but assuming you don't put a super big FATE monster in the sharded space it'd be fine.Hmm, interesting point, I hadn't really considered that.
Would it not work, if you simply had a "biome" around that area? That if you're near a player who hasn't progressed that far, you simply "disappear" once you enter said biome?
I can't help but kind of feel like the Moon is kind of a let-down. I suppose it was a deliberate bait-and-switch for Ultima Thule, but particularly with the Loporitts still up there, I feel like it would be cool just to have it a *bit* more pleasant to revisit.
My biggest fix for the moon is to add moon gravity XD. Goes along with another thread I posted but general lack of gameplay related roleplay in FFXIV. Roleplay in your head and with story dialog choices, otherwise almost not at all.
More moon content in general would be cool though, maybe they can add more zones to the moon and stuff.

I feel the same way about Tempest.
The reason the whole area is not submerged in water as it is usually is just so the Scions who could not breathe underwater could come with you, and there's a whole questline you need to do to unlock an aether current where you're made to feel very guilty about it because it's having a huge negative impact on the local population... and now no Scion needs to go there anymore, yet the fish people still have to deal with their habitat being forever changed just for your convenience. Not very WoL (or WoD)-like if you ask me.
Naturally that could possibly mean reworking the entire map to allow swimming, which causes issues with MSQ progress and splitting the area in several instances, but I'm sure that with the magic of lore you could find a way around that (as in submerge the area in water again, but you can't swim due to some fae folk magic or whatever).
i still miss the sun on the moon.
but if its about gixing i rather want them to fix ishgard. its still broken. i think they already told us they wont fix it. its even more unlikely they gonna fix that massive hole on the moon.
and i think its a pitty player cant experience the growth of mor dhona and idyllshire anymore. they even talk in the msq about it and newer player are like 'what are you talking about'.

Headcanon time:I'm almost 100% certain it's actually meant to be Emet... or rather, Emet's original Ancient face, because Venat still had feelings for him when she created the Moon... and that only twisted the knife further to him. (Yes I know it serves as the entrance to Smileton, but a girl can still have her shipping fantasy!![]()
Ah love hurts..![]()

What ? why ? Sorry...
Feedback on the moon
Let me fill the hollow star
Let me see Meteion
Or Hydaelin and Zodiark
In other words, lift this land
In other worlds, it red, beat me ?
Full lopporit song and let me sing on the dancefloor
The primals you long for
And you worship and abhor
In other worlds, it's Golbez
I don't have words, can't rhyme that
Fill my heart with endsong
Let me die or despair more
This is all meaningless, so why continue this chore
In other worlds, this is true
In other worlds
In other worlds
Zeromus
Just remember, when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore...

They should cover the hole and add a sorcery academy on top, preferably of the glintstone variety. If you build Liurnia on top, it'll eventually sink into the water. Turns out the Lake of Rot was always down there.
