I'm curious about FL mechanics, actually.

I think Biolysis on Guard reduces its entire damage effect even after Guard finishes, including Bane, but how does that translate to FL? If a SCH Banes from a target with less passive defense like a BRD, does that version of the DoT have the BRD level of effect on the Baned DRG? Or for that effect do they both compute from the root potency of Biolysis (like they probably should)?

Yeah, if you spread from a ranged all the melee you hit will get ranged-tier dot ticks. Usually this is how people get insane numbers like 6mil+ damage on SCH.
