you are asking a lot of work for a niche problem.

People ask for quality of life changes all the time. To call this a niche problem when there's a considerable part of the community that would appreciate this is an understatement. It's not on you to judge what is niche and what is not.

You could create a toon and test him/her (for days) where it matters the most: near the aetherite of Limsa AND in your house.
Maybe SE could add the clothes (the glamour plates) in the editor.

Unfortunately glams aren't account wide, so you can't test those, and there's a lot of areas in this game besides Limsa and your house. Your house also isn't constant.

On the other hand I think the skin color change should be ingame in some way, not so sure about eyes (the WoL does not use contact lenses).

You're the one not making any sense. You tried to create an excuse for why it shouldn't be adding by suggesting that people test out the important aspects of it on alternate characters before fantaing their main character and I pointed out that there are too many areas to test, and alternate characters won't have the glam that needs testing.

I also love how many replies there are from others that don't disagree with the original point, but are instead choosing to ruminate on the doomer mentality that this will lose a company money that they already pay monthly to, are doing quite well financially, and that they would never or shouldn't change their minds on this because "iT's OuR fAuLt", or that people spend money to do this, therefore everyone should continue to do it forever.
