The point of achievements is specifically to appeal to the no-lifers and give them something by to do and a prize to go with completing an extreme task so I don’t really see what the issue is.
If we gave out trophies to everyone for just participating then they’ll just lose their value.
Bullsh. . . pucky.
The vast majority of achievements hold zero value (kill x amount of random mobs, finish MSQ quest #79), probably upwards of 90%+
Next thing you'll try to say is getting them gives a sense of "pride and accomplishment"
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

I think people forget the time it takes to do this shit, I got to 32 on my days off, how the hell am I going to manage 100 without time off?

100 wins doesn't seem too bad since the games are pretty quick and not everyone you go up against is a pro. Someone of decent skill will almost always make it to the final round.
There are definitely far worse achievements.
Literally none of those are limited time achievements, which is why I used GARO to give you a sample for what the established expectations would be. It is also unreasonable to EXPECT everyone to be bad when designing a goal. Same reason I used the 1 in 3 for GARO, obviously some people are going to perform worse than average.
Additionally, other achievements being hard isn't a great reason to give for (I DO think the S rank achievements are out of hand due to the nature of those lockout times). Additionally, I might even argue that the In the Outfield VII achievement you linked is easier than the Fall Guys title. Based on an estimate of 2400 games, you definitely would spend less in-game time working on 5000 leves (although it is time gated by your allowances, which would take more out-of-game time).

I feel like no one is ever happy on this forum. One side complains about the game being too easy the other side complains about it being too hard.
I think the event is a bit hard, but i like that. Thats how i like ffxiv to be. Grindy and challenging. Thats the charm of this game to me.
I'm pretty sure people wouldnt mind how hard it is if it wasnt so janky and buggyI feel like no one is ever happy on this forum. One side complains about the game being too easy the other side complains about it being too hard.

Fix the netcode, feel free to look at my OP, that is not it being hard, it's just the netcode basically failing the servers.
They are actually pretty good and does shortcuts even I was not aware.

That split second of speed boost from traveling over the "get back on track" at the hammers impressed me.They are actually pretty good and does shortcuts even I was not aware.

While playing this collab, i get flashbacks to titan after arr release without eu datacenters. Need to calculate 2 seconds into the future to avoid get hit by hammer or something else that knocks me out.
