Oh yeah, I remember.
There even used to be groups selling Titan (Hard) clears on the PF.
Good times.
It's frustrating! Not really a fall guys game!

Sorry to disagree, it is not accurate to fall guys, the original game does not have stuns or locks. Fall guys have a lot of... falling mechanics. I've been playing fall guys every now and then it is its very fun. The FF14 implementation is frustrating because they added some mechanics that rely on server tick and the nasty invisible stuns.

The developers should quite honestly, and I'm not even trying to be toxic by saying this, be ashamed they let this into the game with their absolutely atrocious and somehow seemingly acceptable netcode. It really shines a light on the development team as a whole that clearly do not care about the core mechanic of their battle-themed MMORPG with how badly their game performs.
I've played countless games and in games of course you blame the mechanics of it when you screw up, and usually you're wrong and just screwed up. Not with FFXIV. No. 9 out of 10 screw ups are due to the poorly built code/engine/what the f ever I'm not a developer. But I don't even have to be a developer to see how bad this game truly is and what a miracle it is that this game has thrived so much. It's so wonderful it may as well be the ninth wonder of the world at this point as any other game published in the recent decade would be shredded into bankruptcy if this is what was presented.
Your decision to add a game mode that high lights your short comings can either be ignored (most likely will be) or it can be used as a lesson to get your priorities straight devs. The ball is in your court now.
Oh I forgot, any criticism of this game--good or bad--never even gets reviewed because we're Americans LOL.
They know the servers / latency / ticks are an issue and that is why they are looking at having the servers move to the cloud, most likely the Microsoft Azure cloud servers. This would solve alot of bandwidth and latency issues as those facilities have nearly a dozen internet connections for each of them. Will it be perfect? No way, but it should help but not eliminate the issues we are having. The developers should quite honestly, and I'm not even trying to be toxic by saying this, be ashamed they let this into the game with their absolutely atrocious and somehow seemingly acceptable netcode. As an achievement hunter...
I don't like the limited time window, I'd rather focus on criterion right now, but I don't want to have this unchecked box for the next X months and feeling unable to fix that. Some achievements are trend dependent like Rival wings, Savage raids, Blue mage clears, treasure maps, Delubrum Reginae, Vermillion, Mahjong, if you don't do them as soon as possible, then it only get harder to complete. This is one of them.
I don't like the PVP aspect (all PVP achievements sucks to farm, I hate frontlines the most)
I don't like that's its displayed in the gold saucer and is not treated like seasonal events achievements.
Speed is of the essence, so I don't like the winner and result screen, just get me out of there so I can requeue. I can skip the winner screen by leaving the instance but not the reward calculation which is useless because I already got the MGF and MGP from the courses.
I don't like the RNG layers of the final level. The other activities are super easy to qualify when you have spent a decent amount of time grinding this. But of course the last stage is really the hardest because all the other players are also the best from the entire instance and there's a random factor that mess up a lot of good runs.
Hopefully lalachievement.com will make it so this one does not contribute to rankings, like Garo and the seasonal events.
It aint so bad tho, 1 week in I'm at 33/100, mainly farming Saturday morning when the gamers were still sleeping, just gotta get good and keep at it. The most hardcore players will get over this soon so by next month the competition will be less fierce.
Note what I like personally about the fall guys event:
Its colorful, I like the music tracks, reminds me of a bunch of song I used to listen to. (I don't like that it gets interrupted when I cross the finish line though)
I think that this kind of dodging exercises will make the average players better at the game, like being able to keep track of multiple AOEs while dodging. I like the MGP gains, its better then Chocolo races at 300 rating, slap that 15% VIP Card bonus for even better gains.

Just be better than the average player then. If you can get to the third round consistently that already gives you a 1 in 8 chance. There are far worse achievement grinds in my opinion, like the 7 years of levequests or the thief map grind which is purely RNG.
The competitive nature of the event combined with the limited time has really brought out the worst in a lot of people. Already seeing folks use multiple different methods to cheat at the event, whether it's dropping out of instances to try and fish for an empty lobby, or straight up using speedhacks in the final round to very obviously push past everyone else. I don't even care about the title and really just did it a few times for the shirt and the emote, but in those times alone I got to watch people dip out of the lobby en masse and I got to watch this one catboy straight up blur past a bunch of dudes as if he'd picked up a speed buff somehow, and grab the crown. I'm glad I don't care about the title or I'd be losing my shit right about now.
