*hugs* don’t be sorry! It’s only natural to be frustrated at a frustrating system.
Just because it’s marginally better than placard clicking, by not forcing you to camp a plot anymore, it’s still just as nerve-wracking. I wasn’t posting on the forums back then, so I definitely didn’t ask for this. I’m still salty instant-relo is gone. Especially since relo and demo are the only things that open up new supply.
As long as there aren’t enough houses for players there’s always going to be some people left out. I’m happy with the plot I got (after 9 months of trying!), but my husband is still trying for an Empy large, and the odds of that happening are about 1/150 if past lottos are any indication.
Have you heard about the Housing Mirage? They’re supposed to be working on letting us change the interior layouts of the houses. So in theory, you could have a small outside with a medium or large inside. If that would be something you could be happy with, try to find yourself a nice small, and then you can make the inside bigger in about a year or so if you can’t luck into a medium or large by then!
no? i've not heard of a Housing mirage... what is that? *blinks*
A hope is that bright light burning within each and everyone of us!
Something they were talking about, can’t remember if it was an interview or one of the panels at Fanfest. But it could be really cool if they pull it off… and better yet, create even more interior layouts to choose from!![]()
Oh that would be amazing. Cause that would also increase the intrest in smalls, not just large and mediums.![]()

There doesn't seem to be that much information that was shared other than it was something they are working on. YoshiP talked about it during the live reading (JP only) of the 6.5 patch notes back on October 2nd. If you are fluent in JP or have a friend who is, the VOD should be available on FFXIV's YouTube and/or Twitch channels.

I am curious as watching and reading leads me to believe we are looking at a "under the hood" housing system revamp. There doesn't seem to be that much information that was shared other than it was something they are working on. I suspect this ties in with Yoshi telling us they were looking at how to increase item limits in Vegas; because if Housing mirage did become a thing - 100 items for a large interior would be hilariously sparse. I suspect SE is looking at housing interiors entirely with regards to manipulation of both layout and limitation - which seems somewhat like a decent compromise as larges/mediums would still have exteriors that people would then commence complaining about. Ideally it would hopefully open the door to more interior layouts like the ever popular 1 floor "large" layout without a incredibly wasteful investment of lofts and partitions to block off 90% of the large to make a elaborate living space.
I suspect its all part of the same package.
I sincerly hope this MIrage system is gonna be great!
