Legitimate reasons why many of you do NOT like Gear Swapping

remake the battle engine so it makes more dynamic fun types of play.....so gear swapping shouldn't be a needed or wanted thing.

Instead of gear swapping for situational stat pushups SE could reduce the cooldown timer on the medicine potions. Then we could use them more to push our skills.

Because you missaplied Descarte. Imo, conclusions drawn from subjective thought experiments are only valid in terms of religion/philisophy, being this is a discussion about an objective science (ultimately math and computer science) Descartes conclusions have nothing to do with the topic at hand.

if you use let players play the way they want argument i wanna use a bow on my blm then. have both lvled i should be able to. Also i wanna be able to dual wield lances, i have an off hand slot i should be able to put another lance in there.

That's just going to the extreme..

BRB dual wielding swords on my DRK/NIN because uh... it looks cool but fails miserably in the accuracy and dmg department.

I can just exaggerate the same way and tell SE to remove all stats + TP from the game.

See extremism is bad.. mmmmkay.
