Model on the Elezen is the same, the textures are very different and that's why it looks like model changes. If you look closely, the eye shape and chin haven't changed shape, just been smoothed out with the upgraded skin textures.

The nose also looks like its been given more highlight and smoothing around the tip so it doesn't look as dark/shadowy as the before model.

It's just makeup 101 here basically.
