I personally expected a bit more from EU Fanfest

Don't get me wrong. I loved the reveals. I also love the dungeon and area design. I already like the areas presented a lot more than the Endwalker areas.
But I honestly had hoped for more insights into the graphical update and I was a bit sad that they couldn't reveal anything new system-wise or talk about the new lifestyle content.

A lot of the stuff which they showed at EU fanfest was stuff we were already expecting I feel. I mean it is nice to see all the new dungeons and areas. The visuals of the areas and dungeons were definitely a big highlight for me.
But I honestly would've liked if they showed more. It feels like it was mostly the new areas and stuff which was already teased at NA fanfest. Maybe my expectations also were a bit high for EU fanfest.
It feels like they only teased a lot of stuff this time and everything important will then be revealed at JP fanfest. I honestly would've liked them to reveal at least a bit about the new lifestyle content.

Or maybe there are still some reveals happening today or at the other days?

I don't want to be negative and was also a bit hesitant to share my concerns here on the forums, because i don't want to ruin the mood. I just wanted to ask if anyone else shares my feelings towards the reveals of EU fanfest.
Maybe it also has a lot too that I am not a huge FFXI fan and the new job isn't exactly my cup of tea. I also haven't even leveled blue mage yet. So I am propably missing a big part with the limited job.
People who are excited for the new job and the FFXI collab are propably more excited.

Is anyone else having the same feelings? I also want to iterate that I don't want to spread any negativity with this post. I am still excited for Dawntrail.
I just had hoped for more reveals to keep me more excited till the next fanfest in JP. But I won't deny that I might also be in the wrong here and it is just that this fanfest just wasn't for me.

I definitely got a lot more excitement from NA fanfest compared to EU.

Edit: I take back what I said about the graphics updates. In the second panel they got into detail about character models and graphics update. I think the graphics updates in this panel show the changes a lot more and better. Still I had hoped for more other announcements.

EU fanfest is always the awkward sandwiched between the two actual good fanfests but I agree this is probably the worst EU fanfest we have had for the sheer lack of anything interesting being announced

Yeah, I liked what they showed but it feels like it kind of retreaded a lot of what we knew from the Vegas Fan Fest already.

Hopefully the next Limited Job is actually more of a solo job than BLU.

It's the EU fanfest. It has always been "NA Fanfest rehashed with just a tiny bit extra."

I will admit I was a little bit disappointed at no Hrothgal reveal, but I figured it was 50/50 odds they would IF they even release them with Dawntrail. They may not. People would do well to be ready to prepare for that possibility.

Sure, but Fan Fest is also for actual announcements. Viper was probably the biggest reveal, and we saw a little more of the trailer and zones, but was there really nothing more interesting to show than slightly less shiny Au Ra horns and a new Lalafell chin?

JP Fan Fest is looking to be stacked with the full trailer, new caster job, new Limited job, and probably female Hrothgar.

They showed us video footage of areas with the new graphical update playing a role. If you increase the visual quality of the stream on youtube, then some areas clearly look a lot better than currently. They also showed us the new system requirements.

I was a bit sad that they couldn't reveal anything new system-wise or talk about the new lifestyle content.

Other than the artwork we got for it, we were told it would be social this time. That is a significant improvement from Island Sanctuary, which destroyed a lot of the social interaction we had in prior expansions from Bozja/Ishgard Restoration and Eureka.

Always the case. For example, we knew we were getting the same amount of dungeons as normal, 2 new jobs, an increase to level 100, a new job starting at 80. We know we get 2 cities, 6 areas, new fates, hunts, treasure maps and blue mage updates. We knew that for prior expansions too. Just got to set yourself realistic expectations. We had some new stuff and that was what I expected.

The new limited job, FF16 collab, Fall Guys footage, the new Alliance Raid, the new job reveal and footage of many of these things and new areas, for example. We also got artwork of some new areas and dungeons.

Hahaha, the mood on these forums has long been negative. You wouldn't be changing the mood here at all.

I thought it was fun! The only thing that disappointed me was the lack of new caster reveal (after maining RDM for so many years I really want to play something else so I'm totally hyped for it).

They defnitely won't show FemHroth before JP Fanfest, because

We literally almost see one in 6.5's last scene, so it makes sense to reveal her just before we get to actually know the NPC in the .55 released shortly after the JP Fanfest. Kind of the same logic on why the caster job is the 2nd one, since it's probably tied to Krile and the letter discovery.

Oh yeah. Those things you named in your post are definitely things I am big excited about. I also loved the area and dungeon design tbh. I play GNB so I am excited that there is still a "mech" theme in Dawntrial.
This means there might still be good armor sets to farm for GNB.

I also agree that it made me happy that the new lifestyle content will be more social compared to Island sanctuary.
I hope it will be something which might spark new communities which interact with each other similar to housing content.

And I also liked the FFXVI collab and the Fall guys collab, even though i got a bit sad, that the fall guys content won't be permanent, which is a bummer in my opinion.
These are the things I liked a lot.

But I found especially the stuff about the graphics update and other new content a little underwhelming.
But I am also new to this fanfest cycle, so it might have also to do with me not knowing what to expect yet.
