No. It is basic media literacy. It is not my fault you're incapable of understanding basic subtext. Especially basic subtext in a game where Sappho, the person that is the literal reason the word "lesbian" means "women attracted to women" in English, canonically exists.
You're getting way to overly defensive over a head canon. You should probably chill from the forums since you are starting to become passive aggressive about it.

No passive aggressiveness here. I'm just being plain and stating the obvious to anyone with a high school education. I see you're on Balmung. Do American schools not teach basic intertextuality and symbolism and literature analysis?
Because genuinely, the answer is screaming you right in the face, and you're choosing to put a blind eye to it.
If it is "just a headcanon", then please answer the following:
* Why is the Crystal in the Empty rainbow-coloured rather than blue with a white tint on the bottom like every other Aetheryte crystal on the First?
* Why did they recreate the Squall and Rinoa cutscene down to the individual head movements in combination with camera angles, not to mention transitions? Down to the way Gaia and Squall falters? Down to the angle that Squall/Gaia sees Rinoa/Ryne?
Again, Final Fantasy 8 is a love story. This cutscene, in the original has a romantic overtone. They chose to recreate this in extreme detail. That is not an accident. And to pretend that this also doesn't make the FFXIV version have a romantic overtone is to spit in the face of not only Final Fantasy as a series, but all story writers and artists in general.
You are being literally passive aggressive here in this exact sentence, yet want to insult my "intelligence level" while failing to realize how hypocritical you are being? lol
This is way past debate now. You're just simply being rude and a jerk at this point because others don't agree with you.

No. I'm asking a honest, serious question here. Because that is genuinely the only way I could fathom someone not seeing what is plainly obvious to anyone that are actually taught those skills. You are being literally passive aggressive here in this exact sentence, yet want to insult my "intelligence level" while failing to realize how hypocritical you are being? lol

Still waiting for the answers to my other questions, by the way. Because these need a different explanation, if they're not examples of symbolism and intertextuality.
After the way you been behaving and talking down to me because I don't agree with you, I ain't going to bother answering your questions because I don't care enough about this topic to begin with. Somehow I have a feeling you weren't going to answer them anyway, and that this was just a convenient excuse. In any case, without any alternative explanations, your argument has nothing to stand on.
I mean, the A in NA does stand for America. Canada, by virtue of being a North American country, is included here.
I suppose Greenland would be as well, but given they're supposed to be following ostensibly the same curriculum that mainland Denmark does, I'm not too worried there.

How does Balmung = American? You do realize that Canada is apart of NA as well right? Guess all EU Balmung players are automatically American now.

Why is the Crystal multicolored? Because the colors represent the elements that you were bringing back to the Empty. (Earth, Fire, Wind/Air, Water, Thunder, Ice)No passive aggressiveness here. See, that's a great explanation that unfortunately does fall flat when you think about it.
Earth, Fire, Wind/Air, Water, Thunder and Ice is literally every single element, plus Shiva also being Light, and The Cloud of Darkness being Dark.
So that's the entirety of the elemental wheel, in which case, it should be Neutral (or a little skewed towards Light, given that we're on the First), and should be blue like every other Aetheryte in the game at that point.
EDIT: Clarity and wanting to direct this back into a more civil and calm debate.
